Two electrical sockets blown out from their equipment. My air conditioner not working from all the saw dust clogging the vents, Large nail heads in the old floor, cracked floorboards never replaced . This was a refinishing job and the painter left areas where the carpeting met the floor not painted. nails showing all over the floor. Really bad craftsmanship. Stopped the job mid way. Expensive for what they got done. Now I have a new company who said this guy should be out there working. Really feel ripped off. Would not recommend this company. I will be cleaning his mess up for weeks just to have someone else to it again. Have taken four splinters out of my foot so far. Then he bullied me about his work. > > > The comments from Walsh Hardwood are not correct. I did talk to him before giving a review > and after he sent me a completed bill and he argued with me over every detail that I said was wrong with the floor. He can turn on his client all he wants but I wasn't going to let a man who was angry and arguing with me back into my house. Remember he did not have his check yet. Once he had his money I never heard from him again. He now is just upset because I am now writing a review. A picture tells a thousands words and I have hundreds of pictures just like the ones above. Would you want to have to pay for this. This isn't just a punch list. And no women deserves to be yelled at when they say something is wrong. **Comment from WALSH HARDWOOD FLOORING:** > Walsh Hardwood Flooring prides itself on providing our customers a quality experience. As such the comments from Mrs. Taylor are very disconcerting, especially considering the facts and timing. First, and most significant, this job was only partially complete. WHF still had to return to site and manage some punchlist items as well as finish the other rooms. It seems that before Mrs. Taylor spoke to us about concerns she had with the job, she ran to social media and told the world about them. It is impossible to explain job status to a customer when they, 1. Refuse to speak to us, answer the phone, or meet on site, 2. Take to explaining their woes to the media world before even communicating dissatisfaction, 3. Clarifying via nastygram, that she does not wish to meet or discuss this but rather send another company to the job. This is not how things are done. The facts, are these: > • The flooring on this job was particularly old and in disrepair. The customer observed the condition of the floors once the existing flooring was removed. The customer did not wish to replace them and what we were able to do with these was downright amazing regarding bringing them back to life. > • Issues with an air conditioning or outlets were existing issues or unfortunate coincidence. The AC worked fine with no issues while we were there. > • Most significantly, the customer, returns from vacation, is not happy with things and goes social media hog wild before even reaching out to the business and trying to work through this like reasonable parties. > It is downright disturbing that we have come to this as a society. Face to face and verbal interactions are a thing of the past, one that reasonable adults used to engage in to get things done. We have been relegated to an environment where unsubstantiated facts can be strewn about in the cloud for all the world to see, “fake news” I guess.
