**★★★★★ — Fitz painting, LLC, June 2024**

> We love working with Crescent Builds, they are detail oriented on every aspect of the project, they always provide the best. the team is always in communication every step of the way.

**★★★★★ — Christine PRICE, June 2024**

> These fine folks handled our remodel. It was our first project like this - and we were legit worried based on the horror stories from friends who had also remodeled. BUT. Those people did not work with someone like Crescent. Start to finish, we were a team. We trusted them to handle everything along the way, they trusted our vision and helped make the dream come true. Our project was on time even with some unforeseen issues popping up. Doing the work during a pandemic meant it cost quite a bit more, but I believe you get what you pay for. Do it right once. 100% recommend.

**★★★★★ — Carolyn Wei, April 2024**

> We've hired Crescent for 4 house projects, small and large, over 12 years. Projects have included design, construction, and repairs for the interior and exterior. We have been happy with the quality of project management and communication. Even when problems arose because of surprises with our old house or because of some miscommunication between subcontractors, the team was always very quick to give status and provide next steps. The clear communication and being responsive during crucial moments (like when our house had no roof) was worth their somewhat higher costs.
>
> The quality of work on our projects has also been high. When there were problems with the finished work, they have done right to fix the issue. I've recommended Crescent to many of my friends and neighbors.

**★ — Cassandra El-Soudani, April 2024**

> I would not recommend working with Crescent Builds. The design work they did for us a was flat out wrong, and we were on the hook for thousands of dollars to pay their designers for incorrect measurements and inappropriate material suggestions.
> After that, the bid skyrocketed about 46% past the high end (69% past the low end) of the feasibility study quote. There were no scope changes, and we provided almost all the selections prior to the feasibility study.
>
> In my opinion, they did not take enough accountability for wasting our time and money in design and completely missing the price range of their own feasibility study (which we also paid them for). And this was for a very straightforward basement project that we were able to hire another contractor for who finished it on time and on his expected budget (lower than Crescent's low estimate) with the same selections and without any major issues.
>
> We paid a lot for a very messy experience with Crescent. I recommend you look elsewhere for Design and GC work.

**★★★★★ — Kendra Janikula, March 2024**

> We used Crescent to help us with a small house project and will plan on using them again in the future. We found that they are very good at communicating throughout the different stages of the project and listened well to any issue that we had. They were honest with any complications that arose during construction and followed through with their promises. We had ongoing QA issues with one of the replacement windows and even after the project was completed, they stuck with us to make sure we were happy with the end results.

**★★★★★ — Christine Davis-Goff, Feb. 2024**

> Crescent Builds did our house remodel twelve years ago and we are still engaging them to do further improvements and service jobs. Knowing that they will do a quality job efficiently is key. The strong, responsive, trust-based relationship that we have with them is essential.

**★★★★★ — Tracy Grilliot, Feb. 2024**

> I have worked with August, Emilee & the Crescent Builds teams on 2 projects in the last 10 years. This is a short list of the many things I love about their firm:
> \- They are curious, collaborative & creative in initiating a project.
> \- They produce detailed & understandable estimates & bids.
> \- They hold themselves to a high quality standard.
> \- Their craftspeople associated with delivering the final product are both skilled & helpful. I enjoy having them in my home.
> \- The Crescent Builds team creates beautiful, useful spaces without surprises- in timing, costs or decision that need to be made along the way.

**★★★★★ — lsiegrist1, Sept. 2021**

> Crescent did a fabulous design-build renovation of my bedroom. They have really talented designers, extremely knowledgeable builders, and one-of-a- kind custom building experience.

**★★★★★ — Julian, Jan. 2021**

> We contacted Crescent Builds because we had a minor flood in our basement discovered at 7AM on a Saturday morning, water dripping from the basement ceiling. Within TWO HOURS of reaching out to Ned for advice, the leak was fixed and the work to repair the ceiling had begun! Timely intervention prevented more serious damage (and a more expensive repair!).
>
> We were so stunned and grateful. And then the last bit of painting and clean-up was accomplished the afternoon of the 24th of December, even though I know that Sam and his brother had hoped to have Christmas Eve off. Less than two weeks from start to finish, all done with minimum stress to us. We honestly can't thank you enough. We realize that this is a job for everyone, and everyone needs work, and yes, of course it all costs a lot of money. But this is true in almost all jobs, and not everyone does their job with such thoughtfulness and care.

**★★★★★ — Barney Cohen, Jan. 2020**

> Crescent Builds stands out from other contractors I’ve worked with for several reasons. The crew members that have been working in our home are all highly professional, polite, and pleasant to work with. They answer all of my questions clearly and transparently, and they’re always on time- when they say they’ll be somewhere at a certain time, they’re there. It’s amazing how easy and pleasant they are to have around, even in the midst of living through a home remodel. Also, Crescent Builds has an excellent process for getting you from the beginning to the end of a project, and a dedicated project manager that works with you throughout that process with attentiveness and care. Things stay on track and on-budget. Lastly, the quality of their work is top-notch. I use Crescent Builds for all my home remodel and repair needs, and I would highly recommend them to others.

**★★★★★ — Kate Mulhern Graham, Aug. 2019**

> Crescent Builds recently completed an addition, a back building new construction, and a whole-house remodel on our home in Shoreline.
>
> We had a one-month overrun in the schedule, and a very minor cost overrun due to circumstances outside of Crescent Builds' control. Both issues were transparently and exhaustively communicated to us well in advance, always with several recommendations for how to mitigate the issues. We never felt blind-sided, and felt extremely fortunate that these were both such minor issues on such a major undertaking.
>
> The team at Crescent Builds are the ultimate professionals, but they feel like friends. Their attention to detail is almost preternatural. The construction quality is solid and bullet proof. The communication is constant, detailed, and completely open.
>
> From Vincent's attention to detail, absolutely top notch workmanship, and steady leadership of the sub contractors, to Ned's ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound to ensure the project stayed on schedule -- and his paint know-how, to Emilee's steady design vision, her absolute clarity of purpose, and her knack for focusing on details so tiny that I have no idea how she can keep that all in her head, to August's clear, focused, amiable, customer-first leadership, the whole team made sure that the most difficult part of the process for us was trying to decide between lighting fixtures. The process was actually a joy, from beginning to end. How many people can say that about their extensive, whole-house remodel and new construction?
>
> With the architectural brilliance of their partnership with Skip from Walls & Weeds, our house is now the house it's always wanted to be. I recommend the team at Crescent Builds unreservedly.

**★★★★★ — Andrew Bernstein, Aug. 2018**

> Crescent Builds has completed 2 major commercial remodels, 1 major home remodel, and too many to count small projects for us. They are extremely organized, upfront about costs and estimates (2 major projects have been under budget), very knowledgeable, great at problem solving, keep to their schedule(2 major projects finished early), and most important they do great work.

## Community Q&A

**Q: The cabinets are lovely...** *(in Photo Questions)*

What wood is used for this it is beautiful.

A: The wood used here is Cherry! I hope this helps on any future projects you may have in mind.

**Q: Is the floor polished concrete? Does it work ok as a waterproof shower** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is the floor polished concrete? Does it work ok as a waterproof shower base? Can you use on shower walls too?

A: Hi, Thanks for your questions. Yes this is a concrete floor but not a true "polished slab". It is a concrete water proofing system called WestCoat which you can customize the color texture and final look to match most specifications. This allowed us to use it as a seamless shower base and also as the exterior deck coating even though this is over a wood framed floor system. Not sure if this would work in a vertical application. http://www.westcoat.com/

**Q: Track lighting** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi can you tell me about the track lighting? I was looking for a simple black track light like this.

A: Those are Juno's R711 track heads. http://www.junolightinggroup.com/product-family.aspx?name=JU-R711

**Q: Counter top?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What material is used for the counter top?

A: Thanks for your question. The counter is an Elterwater Slate slab.

**Q: Couch** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where is the couch from? Love it!

A: Unfortunately we don't have records or information on the couch.
