Thom holds a degree in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, a NCIDQ Certificate, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. After working for 4 years as a designer for a commercial architecture and design firm, Thom then honed his design skills with an established residential design firm, where he worked for 14 years as Senior Designer of high end residences, designing homes predominantly in NYC, Greenwich and the Hamptons. Thom established his own design firm during this time.  In 2016, Thom accepted an opportunity to work as the Principal Designer/Design Studio Manager with Artistic Designs for Living in San Francisco, where he brought his New York flair to the West Coast. Thom then restarted his own firm in CA, working with clients wanting a fresh take on the California look.

Thom’s design sense has been formed by his love of the aesthetics of historical, traditional and contemporary design, his appreciation for old world craftsmanship, and his understanding of the technical aspects required of the most state-of-the-art interiors.  Thom combines his understanding of the influence of proper lighting, the psychology and impact of color, and his passion for extraordinary fabrics and finishes, to create some of the most beautiful, comfortable and inviting environments.

A: The barstools are Top Stools from Altura Furniture - alturafurniture.com, and yes, they do swivel.  Rep'd by Dennis Miller in NYC.  The are one of my favorites.

A: hank you for the comment/question. The light pendants are from Tech Lighting - Fire Pendant (techlighting.com).  The outer glass has a tint, the inner is frosted.

A: The throw pillow was purchased at Bloomingdale's, but that was a while ago.

A: Walls and ceiling are flat finish, Sherwin Williams' 'Serious Gray', base molding is same color, but semi-gloss finish - which gives the desired effect of looking a bit darker, and more durable.
