**★★★★★ — Leanne Kramer, July 2016**

> Working with Ryan and Stephenson Design Collective has been great. This is our first (and last) home building project, and we found SDC from the internet. His aesthetic was exactly what we wanted, and when we met him, his philosophy on great design being available for all budgets told us he was the architect for us. He's been easy to work with and very informative for newbies just trying to get through the process.

**★★★★★ — Dino Orfanos, July 2016**

> Ryan was the architect on my home, Summit Park. He has great vision and architectural ideas. He was great to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend Ryan and his team for the most distinct and architecturally complex projects. Truly outstanding.

**★★★★★ — Juli Uhse, July 2016**

> Ryan was a great choice for us! Me and my husband were looking for an architect for a very modern design within sort of a normal price range. Everyone we looked at was asking $100k or more in design fees.
> I found him on houzz.com and contacted via email. He immediately responded and we had an initial meeting that led to us signing a contract with him.
> We had ideas about the house and what we want, but not super organized at the time and really needed someone to translate our vision into designs. Ryan did that for us at a fair pricing as well!
>
> Design took about 3 months and went really smooth. We had to adjust the plans twice with bigger changes and did some extra iterations for more details. All of this was done at no extra charge and with lots of care and interest in what we want vs what's easiest.
>
> We are still in permitting, but will hopefully built soon. This wouldn't have been possible without Ryan and his team.
>
> I highly recommend Ryan and his firm.

**★★★★★ — Fabian Uhse, July 2016**

> When we first met Ryan, principle of Stephenson Design Collective, we immediately felt a great connection to him and his great works that have already completed over the years. He is a very down to earth person, listening, innovating all at the right times. Working with Ryan proved very direct, easy and even fun in our fully custom project. Let's be honest, designing your own house should be fun - as well as professionally done.
>
> Ryan worked with us on every detail and utilized latest technology from 3D printing models of our house to 3D renderings (in very high fidelity "sketch up" models) that allow us to walk through every room on our own PC. His team very professionally and efficiently moved the project along until - after several refinements - we landed on our dream plans that were within financial reach.
> Ryan helped us through a difficult permitting process because of the environmental specialties of our building site. (only 32 feet away from ordinary high water mark of a spring-fed lake) This took it's time to get right and Ryan stayed with us, patiently moving things along when he was needed.
> We've become a customer for life and referred many friends.

**★★★★★ — seattle\_remodelers, Nov. 2014**

> Ryan and his team have amazing talent. We worked with SDC to design the ideal home for our growing family. They were able to capture all of our functional and aesthetic desires. The design process from start to end was very collaborative and we felt like we were a part of the process.

**★★★★★ — sean\_katherine, Oct. 2014**

> Ryan and his team were easy to work with and produced an incredible design for our project. My wife and I were especially impressed with Ryan's ability to listen to our ideas and then transform those ideas into a design. We would highly recommend Ryan Stephenson Design!

**★★★★★ — Kunal Walia, Sept. 2014**

> Ryan has been great to work with. He takes the information that you provide and designs a house within your ideas and scope. Ryan will give his input, but will ultimately follow all the requirements you desire in your design. I would highly recommend Stephenson Design Collective for anyone in need of architectural design help.

**★★★★★ — mariannguyen1, Aug. 2014**

> We always admired their designs and work, so when Ryan designed our home, we were more than elated with his drawings. His firm was prompt in all our initial inquiries to the very end. They were also patient with our requests & delivered a beautiful design that my husband and I love! We highly recommend this firm!

**★★★★★ — ANR Landscape Design, LLC, June 2014**

> I have known and worked with Stephenson Design Collective for some years. They are very talented and professional group of people. It is always pleasant to work with any member of the SDC team. Ryan, the principal, is very level minded and talented architect. I have seen him listen to clients' needs patiently and express his professional points of view to clients in very thoughtful manner, which reflects on everyone on his team. As a designer myself, I have never been disappointed by their new house designs. They always refresh my eyes with their sophisticated and exciting designs with their non-stop creativity.

**★★★★★ — Urban Details, Feb. 2014**

> Ryan Stephenson has a wonderful sense of space and design with both interior and architecturally. His designs are dramatic and modern and very well thought-out. Design Collective is great to work with! I would highly recommend.

**★★★★★ — Chena Stephens, Dec. 2013**

> Elemental Design stays ahead of the curb when it comes to modern and contemporary design. They're amazing to work with, very professional, and provide the best insight on current trends. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful top notch architecture.

**★★★★★ — Todd Brickman designs, July 2011**

> I have worked with Elemental Design on a variety of projects. Each one is unique and pushes the envelope in the northwest for modern design. Great group to work with.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Feature wall** *(in Photo Questions)*

What has been used on the feature wall?

A: Sheets of cold rolled steel.

**Q: Fireplace surround?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is the fireplace surround rolled steel?

A: Yes, they are sheets of cold rolled steel, with an oiled finish.

**Q: Love the design** *(in Photo Questions)*

Was this built from shipping containers? If so how many did you use?

A: This is stick built prefab. Not from Containers. The project has two modules and one site built portion.

**Q: Height of upper cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

It looks like there is more than the "standard" 18" between the counter top and the upper cabinets. What is the dimension?

A: The first level of cabinets and shelves should be fine but you will run out of reach pretty quickly. That is true for 18" as well though so I like to design for the use of the workspace first.

**Q: Can you please tell me what kind of floor this is? Thank you!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This is a scored concrete floor.

**Q: Square foot** *(in Photo Questions)*

How many square foot is the entire house?

A: Just under 2000 SF.
