## Selected projects

- [Noe Valley Residence Two](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/noe-valley-residence-two-pj-vj~2703)
  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 10
  - Description: Hippy Goes Hamptons – This kitchen remodel goes from hippy, love den to sleek, farmhouse modern. The update comes from getting rid of inconsistent architecture, eliminating the clutter, streamlining the floor plan so there is an illusion of space and by using a classic color combination of white, taupe, and black. Stainless steel adds just the right amount of sophisticated sparkle.
- [Atherton Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/atherton-residence-pj-vj~2701)
  - Location: Atherton, CA
  - Photos: 9
  - Description: ‘Old is new’ Spanish Style – An Atherton home was designed to feel as though it had been around for ages. The details mattered in this interpretation of old Santa Barbara architecture—from the rustic techniques, dark stains, copper accents, to the beam work, vintage-looking cabinetry and stone flooring. Using local artisans allowed more control over the schedule, budget and end result.
- [Bernal Heights Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/bernal-heights-residence-pj-vj~2705)
  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 3
  - Description: Artistic & Eclectic – A 700 square foot home is a chic jewel box dwelling. Vibrant colors are pulled from the homeowner’s art collection. The furnishings are bold, playful and fun—there’s nothing too serious and she likes it that way. What’s better than having a home that makes you smile after a long day at the office?
- [Laurel Heights Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/laurel-heights-residence-pj-vj~2708)
  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 2
  - Description: Making Room for Family – A garage is transformed into a family room, office, laundry room, bathroom, entry, and two car garage for an active family with three children. Every spare inch of space was carefully planned so everything has its place and there’s still an illusion of spaciousness. Construction costs were reduced by using existing structural elements which also helped to define each area. A travertine floor makes it easy to push everything out of the way for playtime.
- [San Carlos Residence Two](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/san-carlos-residence-two-pj-vj~3186)
  - Location: San Carlos, CA
  - Photos: 8
  - Description: Sandy Beach Style \| A house that felt too old was turned into a fun, casual home in beach style for a young family. Every room has a fresh ocean breeze appeal through the use of natural materials, an all-white backdrop and pops of vibrant blue in the accessories, tile accents and selected furnishings. The carefully planned layout provides ample built-in storage for this family’s growing needs.
- [Cow Hollow Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/cow-hollow-residence-pj-vj~3185)
  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 27
  - Description: SF Marina Style – This roaring twenties San Francisco home hadn’t been touched since it was in its heyday. The best of the architecture was honored and everything else was transformed: new arches mimicked those already in existence; the kitchen and baths were modernized; walls were removed for better use of space; and, shocking pops of color gave the home its sense of liveliness.
- [Lafayette Residence Two](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/lafayette-residence-two-pj-vj~3184)
  - Location: Lafayette, CA
  - Photos: 10
  - Description: New Classic Comfort – Another Hampton-influenced design but with a more traditional twist. Blue, white, grey, taupe—the colors of the ocean—are a calming palate that’s easy to live with. It’s the grand scale of the architectural detailing and furnishings that make this home a stand-out.
- [Lafayette Residence One](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/lafayette-residence-one-pj-vj~3183)
  - Location: Lafayette, CA

  - Description: \[Click to Expand\] View LargerNext Image » Lafayette One Hamptons Cottage – Everything about this home was influenced by the Hamptons. It’s a modern colonial with craftsmen influence and New England detailing from the peaked white beam ceiling to the wide plank floors. It’s an open and airy environment filled with casual, comfortable furnishings—now where’s the beach?
- [Burlingame ResidenceTwo](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/burlingame-residencetwo-pj-vj~3182)
  - Location: Burlingame, CA
  - Photos: 7
  - Description: California Cottage – The goal of this kitchen and bath remodel was to freshen up the spaces while being mindful of the elements that make this older home so charming. It was important to keep yesterday’s aesthetic while adding today’s modern functionality and convenience. Blue is a crisp and appealing choice as the accent color and choosing a hutch instead of built-in cabinetry completes the collected-over-time look.
- [Noe Valley Residence Three](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/noe-valley-residence-three-pj-vj~3181)
  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 27
  - Description: Light-hearted Victorian – The days of small, dark and dreary rooms are over! This family home went from yesteryear to modern day living thanks to an extensive renovation. A charming Victorian façade on the outside leads to open, airy and cheerful interiors. The architectural details – moldings, baseboards, and cabinetry – and furnishings are simple and clean-lined so the home feels elegant but never stuffy. A neglected backyard was nurtured into a thriving urban garden.
- [Marina Residence One](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/marina-residence-one-pj-vj~2700)
  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 5
  - Description: Boyish Sophistication – This family home turned bachelor pad is today’s version of rat pack cool. The vibe is clearly masculine, but even she enjoys its chic, comfortable styling. The colors were inspired by classic Brooks Brother’s suiting: grey flannel, charcoal, and camel hair with a crisp white shirt as accent.

Classic furnishings were chosen to complement the architecture and minimal accessorizing keeps the rooms fresh and current.

  - Location: San Francisco, CA
  - Photos: 13
  - Description: Retro Hollywood Glam \| A traditional home turns modern with a retro Hollywood point of view. There’s a minimalist approach to the furnishings and accessories and a high degree of va-va-voom through rich textures, plush fabrics, and grey, silver and purple color palette. The floors are custom-mixed in ebony and grey. There’s paparazzi-like sparkle in the modern fixtures, chandeliers, and the kitchen’s purple glass backsplash.

  - Description: Modern Living — An old standard San Francisco home–meaning lots of little rooms–is opened up for modern living. The walls came down but the charm of the architecture remains, and its quirky nooks and crannies delineate the new living areas. The spaces were re-positioned for better flow and the living room became the dining room; the bedroom…the family room; and the dining room…a kid’s play area. Soothing neutrals create an even grander sense of space, and the hot shots of color keep everyone fee…

## Community Q&A

**Q: What are the floors? Love them** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The home had traditional oak floors. So for the remodel of the kitchen and family room, I matched tho the existing. The stain is dura-seal chestnut!

**Q: What make is this faucet?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Rohl!

**Q: Looking for a similar table** *(in Photo Questions)*

I see that a few people have already asked about that exact table - does anyone know where to find a similar one? Love the look and would love a point in the right direction from a product expert! Thanks!

A: You are welcome!

**Q: ottoman** *(in Photo Questions)*

where can i find this leather ottoman?

A: It is a discontinued item from Restoration Hardware. Happy Designing!

**Q: What is the wall color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Benjamin Moore, Shelburne Buff. It is in the back with the Historic colors. Happy Designing!

**Q: cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

Who is the manufacturer of those cabinets?

A: The cabinets are an espresso stain on select alder. Select alder has no knot holes and takes a stain really well.
