And I can say there is no one else I could trust with building my personal space and respecting my tastes and my budget while finding unique and creative ways to reinvent a space. Our first project together was large (5100 sq feet) with completely new floors, paint, lighting, drapes, and her custom-designed built in cabinets. She stayed within budget and took elements of my older furniture/decor and blended with new items seamlessly. I felt like she understood my tastes better than I did myself! We shopped sometimes together at a store, but more often she would shop and load up her car with items on loan and then I would "shop" from the back of her car at my house. She has great relationships with local design houses and knows a range of cost options for finding small and large pieces. I liked having her CAD drawings of room arrangements to decide between, and her invoices were always accurate and allowed for detailed break down of cost. Our second project was a smaller home (3,000 sq feet) and mostly arranging pieces and working on pulling together color and new curtains. Janet will not stop until she gets exactly the detail she wants on a project, and you can feel it in everything she choses and places! She went to bat for me on so many occasions to negotiate price and get the just right fit for items. She knows the best local contractors and vendors to use. Janet is kind and funny and really listens to you when you have a vision for what you want. She pushes your edges just a little to find undiscovered ways to make your home feel special and like it matches who you really are.
