It took them over three years to finish. They did a horrible job. The roofing was not laid correctly. The siding looks horrible. The flooring is not square. Doors leak. It took years and legal involvment to get them to admit that several things were not done correclty or to code. They lied to the county building inspector. They attacked us and told us it was all our fault. We had to pay an extra two years rent and still don't have a quality house that we sunk all our savings into. We came to them with a plot, soil samples, and a desired floor plan. We’ve been decisive and responsive throughout the process. It simply should not take this long. It seems like Diyanni has bitten off more than they can chew in terms of new customers. I’m afraid of what our build process is going to look like. Please prove me wrong! Will update this review as things progress. > > Nov 2021 update: We’re now several months into the build process and things are going very slowly. Not only did Diyanni put the wrong roof on a portion of our house, but they’ve probably done 1 weeks worth of work in the past 5. > > May 2022 update: We're now at day 268. We failed our structural inspection again (this after waiting 6 weeks for an electrician). No one at Diyanni really seems to care and it's frustrating that houses 45 minutes away building with Diyanni haven't had similar delays. I'm being told it's another 2 weeks for insulation. So we should have already moved in, but we don't even have insulation yet. We started paying on our new mortgage this month but the build process has no end in sight. > > January 2023 update: We moved into our home in late October 2022. It was a race to the finish as we expected to be completed by Aug or September at the latest based on timeline information given at our pre-drywall meeting. However, our PM did his best at the last minute to get us into our home just in the knick of time to make sure we had somewhere to go. Overall, we're happy with the quality of our home so far. There's still stuff to complete 3 months after move in (still some cabinet doors missing, some trim work here and there) but the list of pre-settlement items is getting shorter day by day. Given the issues with the construction industry, I don't think we got Diyanni's best and hopefully things will settle down for them soon. If you are considering Diyanni Homes/Diyanni Custom Homes, PLEASE reconsider. Our building process with Diyanni has been an absolute nightmare. In my experience, they are NOT custom home builders. I have numerous repair requests that many of them are repeat repairs, their sub-contractors leaving their feces on the property, sub-contractors urinating in the toilet and leaving it unflushed, handing us the home with construction dust EVERYWHERE, arguing with them about damaged counter tops that were delivered, basement FLOODS and on and on. There are too many to list. We do not want other consumers to go through what we went through. Do you research and re-consider.
