I had a water pipe burst and about a third of the house was damaged. Luckily a good friend of mine is neighbors with DJ’s Home Improvements and highly recommended them to me. Up until that point, I never used a home contractor before. So my experience told me there were two types, the horror story contractors that did terrible jobs or never showed up, or the This Old House or HGTV type. I got lucky that DJ’s was the latter. > > Not only do they do expert, meticulous work, but they are like family and very easy to work with. Even with someone like myself who is a perfectionist. > > Jerry makes sure no corners are cut and the work is done to the nth degree. An example of that: I had asked that the living room wall be perfectly flat so that when I hang a picture wall, all the frames are perfectly flat. Previously there was a noticeable hump in the wall. So before they sheetrocked, they planed the studs and used a giant level against them to make sure they were perfectly even . After the wall was done, it looked like one giant piece of dry wall, rather than multiple sheets put together. > > Vita has great design suggestions.
