His crew tackled our 1939 Cape Cod bathroom. Complete gut job. End result is modern, clean and very well thought out. PROS: excellent choice of tile (floor to ceiling in the shower); beautiful shower doors; nice paint color, expert work on the "guts" -- rebuild floor, install/drill for new venting, new drywall, new flooring, etc.; good advice on choices. CONS: Toto toilet did not come with warranty. I have to go buy my own new flush valve ($30) and pay a plumber to reinstall due to insufficient fill mechanism; the outlet inside of the new medicine cabinet does NOT work for our electric toothbrush. I had planned on this, so it was a little bit of a surprise to be told, after the fact, that the company no longer allows for use of the in-cabinet outlet.; the amount of dust that this project left is alot ... all three floors of the house are covered with a fine dust, so I have to go through the whole house and do a deep clean. Even the garage windows and floor are covered with fine dust. So Fine, even with these CONS, I still, wholeheartedly recommend Bath and Floor Stiles. They came, they saw, and they conquered a tiny, outdated, concrete-wall-and-floor challenge, and made it into a very very beautiful space. I give them 5 stars although I do so with caveats. To anyone out there considering them, their price is very fair and the QUALITY of the products they use are very high. Jameel came to the home to evaluate a renovation project which required removing old tiles/cracking grout in 2 rooms, and was to provide a quote. Unfortunately, he wasn't interested to explain the process or even high-level steps of removing old tiles and installing new tiles, and how they check for integrity, etc. He just kept saying "we need to remove everything." When I asked a question to understand more, he talked over me and was generally unprofessional. For the premium price they charge, they appear to not want their customers to know how they do the work, which is a red flag. I expected much better and will not be working with them. **Comment from Bath & Floor Stiles Inc.:** > Sorry but we did not provide you any service; you called us to request a quote for poor job that some other contractor did in your kitchen and master bathroom. Sorry but you didn't wanted to listen what we had to offer, therefore we asked to pass on your job. **★★★★★ — Kimberly Litt, Aug. 2017** > We worked with Jemil and his team to completely transform the first floor of our new home and our master bathroom. This included taking down a wall, renovating the kitchen, refinishing the floors, adding lighting, tiling, painting, etc. Through every interaction, Jemil was wonderful to work with. He is creative, detail-oriented, trustworthy and has a great eye for design. We are first time home owners and definitely inexperienced renovators, and he was extremely patient with our many calls and questions. His subcontractors are professional, courteous and talented. The owner of Bath and Floor Stiles, Jemil Byrock, along with his workers and sub-contractors did a phenomenal job from beginning to end. He worked closely with us to create the desired layout, which included removing the existing bathtub, shower and even an exterior window. He constructed a new linen closet, installed all new cabinetry, fixtures and finishes, along with relocating the shower with a new glass-walled shower, floating bench, 7 shower-heads and a steam generator. This was no easy project and required almost as many different trades as it does to build a house from the ground up. Unlike many contractors that refuse to pull permits so they are not heavily scrutinized by code compliance and inspectors, Jemil had no issue with incorporating this requirement into the job. There was never an issue where he didn't gladly resolve and was a true pleasure to deal with. He was on the job daily to oversee and inspect the work. Scheduling was performed and executed efficiently. There was no nickle and diming as things arose after the contract was executed. The project was completed on time and without any unexpected additional costs.
