> Skip Knoll and his team are highly recommended because of their high standards, attention to detail and craftsmanship. They are very easy to work with and responsive to the clients needs and concerns. They also offer insight and creativity to the job. We couldn’t be happier with our kitchen update!

**★★★★★ — Sue Kowalski, March 2023**

> Skip and Allison had great ideas for updating our kitchen. The crew came in and and did a professional job in all areas. They prepared the area and cleaned up daily. They didn't start the job until all the materials were in so everything ran very smoothly. My husband and I are very, very, pleased with the end result. I would highly recommend Skip Knoll and his crew.

> Excellent work. We have used Skip for numerous very complicated as well as smaller remodeling jobs. One of the projects he performed for us won numerous awards in the large remodel category in regional competition

**★★★★★ — Cheryl Baldwin, July 2022**

> We are very very pleased with the wonderful work done for us by Skip and his crew. Jake, Joe, Ryan, Tom, Hunter, and Felix were the most professional and dedicated workers. The craftsmanship is beyond measure. Skip worked on our project as well and managed it and problem solved. We have never had such a flawless project done for us. We are extremely grateful for all their work. Also a huge shout out to Alison Miller. Her interior design knowledge was outstanding. Thank to this wonderful team!

**★★★★★ — Jim and Regina Garfield, April 2022**

> Skip and his team completed a bathroom remodel at our home in Erie in March 2022. The team including Skip (owner), Alison (Designer) and Jake did an excellent job. The planning process was very thorough. Alison provided a detailed rendering of the design and offered a number of helpful suggestions on materials, colors, lighting, etc. Our house is older and (during the demo) they uncovered several structural issues with the original construction and a previous bathroom renovation and explained how they were able to rectify them. Skip communicated with us continuously throughout the project to show us the work-in-progress, make minor design decisions, etc. The final product was impeccable with impressive attention to every detail. We strongly recommend Skip Knoll Inc.

**★★★★★ — Tracie Craig, April 2022**

> Skip Knoll and team did a fantastic job remodeling my living room. The team was very courteous, and meticulous, they worked diligently to complete the work on time and correctly. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the work and it was exactly the way I wanted it .

**★★★★★ — Michael Gallagher, March 2022**

> Just completed....another great Skip Knoll creation. We needed a new look for our lake room floor as the carpet needed replaced. Skip and his team came up with a great idea of a herring bone tile floor. Excellent idea as the room gets lots of use. Better yet...he added supplement heating under the tile to fight the cold gales blowing off lake Erie. Professional service as usual. Joe and Felix did a wonderful job and the results are beautiful. This is the 5th or so remodel, Third at this house. Nothing better!

**★★★★★ — Kristine Legters, Feb. 2022**

> Skip and his crew have completed several projects for me over the past 10+ years. Great ideas, quality products, attention to detail, and professional.

**★★★★★ — Bill Netkowicz, Feb. 2022**

> We worked with Skip Knoll to enclose an existing porch. The porch was a challenge due to existing arched openings which we did not want to lose. The project lasted seven weeks (October/November, 2021). Each day started at 7am and his crew of 3 to 4 men worked till 4pm five days a week. I can't say enough about their professionalism. They answered all questions respectfully. They were very knowledgeable and made suggestions to enhance the project as they saw fit. Overall they exceeded all our expectations with high quality materials (i.e. Anderson Windows, cedar trim, etc.) skills, and experience. We would rate them a 10 out of 10.

**★★★★★ — User, Dec. 2021**

> The materials and hardware were of high quality and exactly what we ordered. Skip’s installers were punctual, respectful, and highly qualified. Any problems that occurred were corrected immediately. Skip, also, did work for us in the past and we would definitely hire him again.

> Skip and his crew are fabulous. They are excellent craftsmen, careful, detailed and efficient. They are the whole package. We never waited for tradesmen. They started on time and completed our projects on schedule. We did a full kitchen renovation as well as a new Master Bath. They are detail oriented. They picked up any issue and resolved it in a timely fashion. We had only very minor issues that actually weren’t caused by them but they took care of them. Skip is very detailed and reviews all of the work, making adjustments that he feels need to be taken care of. We would never use any other contractor in our house!

- [Westbury Farms Drive Bathroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/westbury-farms-drive-bathroom-pj-vj~2541426)
  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 35
  - Description: This Florida transplant wanted to update her bathroom from dark and sad to bright and happy. We cut down the wall between the toilet and vanity and removed an unnecessary return wall to open up the shower and make room for a generous bench. The vanities stayed in the same place but we added a 4 drawer base successfully organize all the small stuff. The frameless glass shower door, bright vanity lights, white cabinetry and white tile create a cheery and open retreat.
- [Timber Ridge Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/timber-ridge-kitchen-pj-vj~2479921)
  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 35
  - Description: These long time, repeat clients saved the kitchen for last in their quest to update their home. There was little that could be done to change the layout based on the shape of the space but all new cabinets, flooring, countertops and lighting turn this kitchen from dark and feeling cramped to light, bright and open. The addition of interior cabinet storage strategies leaves them with a ton of space for everything and keeps the counters clean. Check out the other 'Timber Ridge' projects to see wha…

  - Location: Erie, PA

  - Description: This home's structure would not allow for major changes, so the solution was to work with the layout to create a new look and better organization. Soffits along the main work area and the removal of a short return by the hutch were the only structural changes but they made a big impact. The kitchen now looks like it belongs in the home.

  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 23
  - Description: The homeowner has lived in her house for over 30 years and was ready for an updated and more functional kitchen. We removed two small pantry closets within the footprint of the kitchen to replace them with cabinetry and opened the entry into the kitchen by about 18". Aside from those changes, the overall layout and size of the kitchen was not increased. The result is a beautifully updated kitchen with significantly more storage than she had previously.
- [Dorchester Road Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/dorchester-road-kitchen-pj-vj~1793456)
  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 25
  - Description: This kitchen is located in the center of the home with nearly all of its natural light coming from a large skylight. To help keep the kitchen airy and light, the old white cabinetry was replaced with new and undercabinet lighting was installed. A small pantry closet was eliminated to make room for more cabinetry and countertop. All the soffits were removed to allow the cabinets to go to the ceiling. Large drawers, pullout spice drawers and rollout trays make organization easy and increase storag…

  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 30
  - Description: This couple wanted a bathroom that reflected their style and preferences. The tub was removed to allow for an extended vanity with the toilet moving down to under the window. This also made more room to install a large shower with a glass front and two independently working shower heads. The result is a spacious bathroom that functions for their lives.
- [Jordan Road Master Bathroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/jordan-road-master-bathroom-pj-vj~2423977)
  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 17
  - Description: A small space doesn't have to mean small living. This 49" x 88" 'master' bathroom now has a large shower and plenty of storage. The custom medicine cabinet and inverted vanity offer enough storage for everyday items to help keep this small space tidy. The glass sliding shower door helps to make the whole bathroom feel as large as possible.
- [Colonial Ave. Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/colonial-ave-kitchen-pj-vj~100541)
  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 27
  - Description: The homeowners wanted to modernize their outdated kitchen and create a more cohesive kitchen and dining area. This one cook family had the desire for company to have the room to gather in the kitchen without crowding the work space. To achieve these goals, the basement stairwell wall was pushed back and the wall between the kitchen and dining room was eliminated. These two changes open the space significantly and allow the kitchen to flow into the dining area. Additionally, the staircase to the…

  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 7
  - Description: This homeowner wanted to add a shower to her main bathroom but also wanted to keep the tub since it is the only bathroom in the home. We used a closest from the adjoining room and expanded the length by about 6" to create a spacious and bright shower.

  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 7
  - Description: A new tile shower replaced a relatively new but poor functioning surround. The original plan was to install a pre-made base with tile walls but after some trouble acquiring the base, it was decided to do tile throughout. The style of the bathroom lent itself to a linear drain to complete the look.
- [Timber Ridge](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/timber-ridge-pj-vj~890504)
  - Location: Erie, PA
  - Photos: 50
  - Description: This family of three already had a dedicated laundry room with plenty of storage and room to work. However, the layout and cabinetry did not function in a way that worked for their lives. The washer and dryer were moved, a closet was relocated and the doorway to the room was expanded. Now they have a space that feels larger and functions great for their needs. Phase two of the home project was to update the kid's bathroom. The focus was on the tub area for the young daughter who enjoys long rela…

## Community Q&A

**Q: floor vs wall tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello I was wondering if your floor tile is different than your wall tile in this bathroom?

A: They are the same tile but the wall tiles are polished and the floor tiles are matte.

**Q: Hardware manufacturer please.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The manufacture of the Hardware is Top Knobs.

**Q: What is the name of your counter top stone?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This is a granite called Sucuri White.

**Q: Shower floor mosaic** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi- Are the porcelain tiles in the crest color from American Olean scene? I am considering this tile and have not been able to find something for the shower pan and am considering getting it cut into 2x2 and meshed. What is the name of the mosaics you used? Is that marble? A 3x4ft area of travertine lifted and contractors are recommending me to go to porcelain, and I'm concerned about tearing up all the Torreon travertine (ivoryish) in my master bath for a cheaper look.

A: Hi! Yes the walls are in the AO - Scene - Crest. The shower floor is Calacatta Gold Honed Penny tile from The Builder Depot. We do not put marble on the shower floor often but sometimes the homeowners are up for it and the look is almost always amazing. Good luck!

**Q: Can you tell me what the floor tile is? Thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi! This tile is a private label through our distributor called Origin. The color is Silver and the size is 20x20.

**Q: what are the dimensions of this tub?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for your question! This is the Jacuzzi Amiga tub 72x36.
