> We did not have a “glowing" experience with Alleva. We contracted for bathroom, linen closet and walk-in closet to be finished in 6-8 weeks. Demolition started in April and was completed in September. Project Manager\#1 was inexperienced or incompetent, particularly with organization. Crews showed up only two or three times a week, rarely for a full day. We were told to expect workers and they did not show up or showed up very late, as if our project was an afterthought. At one point we thought Alleva had abandoned our project. This went on for months, in addition to other issues that repeatedly occurred with PM\#1.
> Then PM\#2 was assigned at the beginning of August. Competent and experienced, Jay Strong, was helpful, understanding to our frustrations, and had men working every day on our site, until completion. He did his best to make things right. Jay checked in every day, stopped by often to check progress, and was a true professional and pleasure to work with. My husband had gotten used to watching over the work, and Jay made sure that his concerns were addressed. Unfortunately, Jay Strong is no longer employed with Alleva, which is a shame. Ironically, on the last visit a shower bar was installed with an ungalvanized screw, which is now rusting. Hopefully the rest of their work will hold up during the one year warranty.
> Despite the experience, we are satisfied with how the project turned out, but it was still a long and more stress-ridden experience than it had to be. Even trying to get a refund for unused tile and a special order shower drain that was not installed, was an ordeal. We sent emails to the general manager and made numerous phone calls to the office, and only received a refund check after filing a dispute with the credit card company. This issue took 2 months to resolve.
> Considering hiring this company, be wary. Our contract appeared to be complete, however, PM\#1 told us “Alleva is a contract driven company,” and most things would “cost extra.” For example, the electrician was not allowed to install light switches we were providing unless we paid extra to Alleva. The plumber determined that a pipe had to go through a ceiling, PM\#1 said that a soffit could be built to cover it, but it would cost extra. He also said that it would cost extra for Alleva to repair any damage that occurred during the construction, including popped nails. This did turn out to be false, but it was an eye-opener. As Alleva did not provide an itemized contract for the work that they agreed to perform, we probably paid too much for the plumber, electrician and other companies hired by Alleva. Alleva’s contract also required payments to be made ahead of work being started and they were quick to collect these payments, while we were left waiting for the work to start. It was a very nerve-racking and frustrating experience. As the saying goes “Buyer Beware!” And this is our advice, too

> We hired them to help with a kitchen update. Mike had great ideas guiding us on the best materials to use to keep within our budget He also made us aware of possible surprises that might occur when removing 1990”s backsplash. Luckily the walls were in tact and new backsplash came out great. New window, countertops and sink completed the refresh. Their countertop vendor was terrific to deal with also. They are experienced and professional. Thanks Alleva

> I hired Alleva construction to redo my kitchen and 2 bathrooms a few weeks ago. I am completely satisfied from beginning to end . Jake was a constant professional throughout the entire process. I recommend them 1000 percent .

> I had them do my kitchen and bathroom and their designer Mike showed terrible customer service and was just trying to do what he wanted having complete disregard for my home and what I wanted. The project managers Jake and Ernie were extremely unprofessional and didn’t have much knowledge about certain things. I was nervous about going through the construction and thanks to Mike and his crew they made this a very poor experience for me. The process took longer than it should’ve and the low level of craftsmanship of their crew was disappointing. I would not recommend them!

> I had them do my kitchen and bathroom which were both very outdated. Their designer Mike had great ideas. The project managers Jake and Ernie were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Although I was nervous about going through the construction, I was very pleased with the process and the level of craftsmanship of their crew. I would highly recommend them!

> Very happy with how the job turned out, very disappointed in the communication and quality of project management. Probably will not hire a general contractor next time because I don't feel the extra money we paid for someone to "manage" the job actually saved us any trouble or work.

> Back in 2009, my front entrance steps was in much needed repair. I opted to go with Alleva Construction, Inc. with new steps construction. This was a" big " job. During the project I observed how " skillful " the workers were and I was extremely satisfied with the end results. After the heavy rains from hurricane Elsa, one step had shifted considerably! Once again I did not hesitate to contact Alleva Construction for repairs.
> Jake Alleva came to my house to explain the repair. He throughly addressed my concerns and answered all of my questions. The next morning Luis and George arrived promptly. Luis finished the repair flawlessly and cleaned up the work area.
> All- in- all Alleva Construction, Inc. is a company committed to achieving customer satisfaction.

> My family and I could not be more pleased with Alleva Construction. We hired Alleva Construction in October 2020 for a kitchen and bath renovation in our home to start in January 2021. Right from the start we knew we were dealing with a truly professional construction and remodeling company. Everyone we had interactions with, staff and suppliers, gave us a sense of confidence which is so important when taking on a significant project.
>
> Our project took 4 months from start to finish and that is only because we ended up adding on to the initial project. We found hidden issues once the demo started and Alleva was right on top of it. For a flooring and foundation problem Alleva quickly brought their architect over to diagnose the issue and come up with a solution which put in motion within a few days – think about that, many other contractors would have taken the opportunity to deploy resources to another project citing the delay but that was not what happened to us. The urgency that Alleva brought to our project was impressive and appreciated.
>
> The project was worked on consistently over the 4-month period despite a COVID outbreak in the company and weather delays. The workers are true craftsmen who are meticulous, highly skilled, and hard-working men. They were respectful, friendly and a pleasure to have in our home.
>
> Communication from Alleva was very-good and they listened to us – not something that is commonly found in the contracting world. Everyone we communicated with listened to us and addressed our needs – so much so that there was not a punch list at the end of the project. They just took care of everything in real time so there was nothing to go back and follow up on.
> Pricing and payment terms were very fair. We did get other proposals but felt that Alleva provided the best combination of professionalism, confidence, and value. We definitely made the right decision.
>
> We love the final results of our renovation and the overall experience. We highly recommend Alleva Construction!

> Awesome. I totally recommend Alleva Construction. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and pleasant. I highly recommend Jake, he has been great to work with and I trust him entirely. He has been so helpful that I will now have more work done. I am extremely happy with my renovations. Choose Alleva Construction, you will not be disappointed.

> I hired Alleva Construction to remodel my master bathroom. The craftsmanship was phenomenal!!
>
> Thank you Hawthorne Mechanical installing for my tub, shower, sinks and my “Beautiful Faucets”!

**★★★★★ — Eduardo Icasiano, March 2020**

> Our first home improvement project using a professional general contractor service. We can't say enough about how great our half bathroom looks to us and everyone who visits our home. During the renovation we had requests that Jake and Clint responded to in a very attentive, patient, prompt and professional manner. They showed us that no job is too small to pay attention to detail and quality. Customer satisfaction is valued over profit. The Alleva Family was a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Keep it up!

**★★★★★ — VV K, Aug. 2019**

> Alleva Construction has done a great job on our addition above the garage and other items around the house. All projects were completed with wonderful details. We would definitely recommend this company and hire them again.

**Comment from Alleva Construction:**

> We appreciate your business and thank your positive comments. We strive to keep our customers satisfied.
