As soon as it was installed we told DSA it was warped and they told us it was because our overhang wasn't big enough... they were looking for any excuse in the book to null the warranty. > > If we didn't keep bothering them they would have never sent anyone to look at the door and say that it was indeed warped and their fault. > > It took 6 months from when we received our initial door to get the correct one. In the meantime we wrapped up the renovation; so they did us a solid by removing and installing the new door, but the seal on the outside was the sloppiest job I've ever seen done and disheartening since we had everything professionally done the first time around including custom casing on the interior that has some new nail in it. Any additional cost they weren't willing to share and no remorse or communication on their end. Sounded like they were inundated by all the complaints they were constantly receiving. **★ — HU-321622743, Jan. 2020** > We paid $5,000 for new front doors (paid more to have it factory sealed). After three months, the door was cracked in two different panels. They initially stated they would replace the doors; however, months later (when we had to contact them again since they never called us back) they decided to not replace the doors, but replace the cracked panels. The panels were replaced and they cracked again (this time bigger) approximately three months after replacement. DSA will not replace the second cracked panels. Four different window seals have now failed. If this review is not enough, the vendor we used to buy the doors, no longer does business with DSA Doors due to difficultly on the part of DSA. **Comment from The Door Store of America, Inc (DSA Doors):** > We are sorry for the issues and dissatisfaction you are having with DSA's customer service, please message us your name and number so we can address this properly. **★ — dasha53, Dec. 2018** > Stay away!!! Terrible company to deal with. The first door I ordered was made wrong and was sticking at the bottom and had to be replaced. That process took months only for them to send the replacement in the wrong color. Once that got corrected, the replacement door started splitting after a year and had to be replaced AGAIN. They promised to cover 50% of the installation cost, which I had to pay out of pocket and now 3 months later I still cannot get my refund, because they are claiming they don’t issue checks!!! I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with multiple people at this company and they were equally unhelpful, and ignored my calls and emails on multiple occasions. Lastly, their doors are not made in North Carolina, but instead get shipped from Asia, which is not disclosed anywhere on their website! Without hesitation the customer service group sent two service people to evaluate our and hopefully correct our issue. They traveled from over 2 1/2 hours away. > The doors hang on a track above the doors which is attached to a door frame header which is mounted on the building header which spans 12 feet. The bottom track is a guide path for the bottom hinge. > The DSA technicians worked with my builder to determine that slight house settling caused the top to bottom space to shrink just enough to cause the doors to jam. They suspected that there were shims between the door header and the house structure header. The reduced space was causing the bottom guide to drag on the track preventing the door from opening. To correct the problem they removed the framing around the door to access the door header where they did find shims which were not allowing the door header to be raised. They removed removed the shims and were then able to tighten the large screws to raise the door panels. With that the bottom hinge no longer dragged on the track. > The door framing was replaced with no damage at all and the door now slides smoothly and with just a gentle push to open. > We were impressed with the knowledge of the service technicians and their professional work.
