We are a general contracting company overseeing residential and commercial projects. Our scope of work ranges from home additions to kitchen and bath renovations to commercial projects small and large.

It’s hard to imagine a North Shore remodeler who knows the territory better than Josh Dolby. He’s lived here his whole life, growing up in Winnetka and returning after college to take a job in industrial sales. Five years later, he changed his career course, got into carpentry, and within a few years was working as a construction superintendent on elite new homes at The Glen. Then in 2003, seeing the demand for high quality home remodeling growing in communities throughout the North Shore, Josh took the leap, and Dolby Development was born.

From the very start, Josh had no ambition for Dolby to be the biggest or the trendiest, the fastest or the lowest-priced North Shore remodeler. He sought only to be the right contractor for each and every client he served. A: Hi - This floor is North Red Oak 3 1/4" x 3/4" hardwood.

If this is honed, I'm sold on the honed look.

**Q: is there a seam in the countertop?  where did you purchase big piece?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: maryclemens, there's no seam in this countertop. I don't recall where this was selected from at this time but it was in the Chicago area. We typically select our stone from couple of our fabricators located in the Chicago area.  Let us know how we can help you.  Thank you
