My background is a BSBA in marketing. I discovered my passion for design while building my own home in 1999. Friends constantly asked "Who helped you with the interior design?" This lead to many friends & family asking for my help with their homes once they discovered I designed my home. I decided to explore a certificate program in interior design to expand my knowledge in the industry. This coupled with my business background & building experience launched me into my new career in January of 1995 when I started Laura Waxman Interior Designs.

We begin with an 1 hour complimentary consultation to discuss your objectives. From here I begin the design process with you based on your individual style and my expertise advice to help guide you throughout the project. 
 
I will help coordinate with contractors & subs for the preliminary bids to the finished project by managing the entire design team. I will partner with you to create the finishes that will pull your home together. This includes custom window treatments, blinds, bedding, custom cabinetry, furniture, lighting, rugs, tile, hardwood flooring, paint & accessory selections. 
 
Your ideas and vision will be transformed into implementation with my ability to clarify the design process. I will help you simplify these paralyzing decisions by partnering with you. In turn you will end up with a flawless and confident  design experience. Ultimately helping to make your house a home that reflects you!

Needing to renovate and redecorate, we decided that the cost of our move should include the services of an interior designer to help us achieve just what we were comfortable with. After searching online we found Laura Waxman. She turned out to be a delightful, seasoned professional. Brimming with confidence and a most positive attitude, she strove to learn what our likes and dislikes were.  She was wholly responsive and prompt and offered a myriad of choices for furniture, colors, accessories, finishes, etc.  Always cheery, she never tried to impose her will or personal choices on us.  She was always willing to listen and adjust, sometimes gently prodding us to an easy resolution! Not only did she work well with us, she also has great access to some of the best contractors in the area who are artists in their own right: painters, electricians, carpet installers, plumbers, etc. They  all love her and work with her seamlessly.
