> We had our new house built by StudioMET. They basically provide 3 services: realtor services (to find and purchase a lot), architectural services, and construction services. After a short evaluation we decided to have them provide all three services.
> Working with the people at StudioMET turned out to be easy. Not that there was always agreement, but healthy discussions typically resulted in good solutions.
> The architectural service is really the foundation (no pun intended) for the entire experience. This does not only include the actual design, but also the accompanying budget estimate. This latter is obviously key for a good experience going forward. For us the estimate turned out to be right on target, and we did not have major issues. For those situations where we were in disagreement on price, we found alternative ways to resolve the issues.
> The entire construction phase went off without a glitch. Their supervisor was on top of all things that mattered and was a delight to work with. We noticed that the subcontractors which StudioMET uses are not necessarily cheap, but in most cases the quality is very good.
> We live now in our new house for 3 months and the aftercare has also been prompt.
> It is not a cheap endeavor to have StudioMET design and build your house, but in our opinion, the quality delivered justifies how StudioMET positions itself.
> We highly recommend StudioMET and would have no issues engaging with them in the future.

> Scott, Stephen, Jesus and the team behind the scenes worked diligently to deliver a home we’ve always dreamed of. We couldn’t have been happier with the final product. The guys were responsive to our questions and understood our needs. We thought the process went as smoothly and timely as it could have. We would definitely recommend StudioMet to anyone who may be looking to build an exquisite modern home.

> StudioMET. What can I say....
>
> We gave them a small lot with a modest budget in a city laden with red tape. Yoon, our principal architect, Steve, and Shawn returned with a design that surpassed our expectations and imaginations. Each principle, facet, and technique they implement shows integrity and thoughtfulness. This firm marries function with style like no other. No square inch in our home is wasted, nor is there one square inch that is not aesthetically pleasing. Yoon was so accommodating and flexible. He truly listened to our needs, and adjustments were being made all the way to very end of the building process. He was very accessible for impromptu meetings, and by email, text or phone. Florence worked tirelessly on obtaining surveys and permits to ensure a smooth and timely construction process. She also has a fantastic eye, and I loved having her insight with some of the fun stuff like lighting fixtures. Jesus, the construction manager, was fantastic and a true stand-up guy. He was so busy and had so many crews to coordinate, but always took time out to listen and address all of our concerns. Yes, the building process was long, but would i do it again? In a heartbeat, with StudioMET. If you are looking for a modern aesthetic with a conscience, your search is over.

> When I was searching for modern architects/builders, I selected strictly on previous projects and overall aesthetics. When I finally met with StudioMet the people sealed the deal. They have a perfect combination of excellent architectual design with a genuine desire to exceed your expectations. I had a wonderful experience with StudioMet from start to completion. Although Shawn did not work specifically on my project he did collaborate on certain areas in the beginning design stages. Which was very helpful to us as we were envisioning the entire project. Another fanastic benefit of StudioMet, although each architect has his or her own project they all are available to assist on each other's project. I really appreciate that mentality to work as a team to ensure to best outcome for the Client. These guys are great. I can't express my gratitude for their patience, professionalism and expertise. They are a great firm to work with and I look forward to our next project together.

> StudioMET designed and built our house. They are very talented and creative. The building process was a collaboration between us. I would highly recommend them to anyone. All calls, texts, and questions during the building process were promptly answered. I can't say enough about how happy we are with the end product.

The exterior form is an interplay of plane, mass, and void, designed to break the monotony of the repetitious townhouse form that is otherwise prevalent along the street. The main living spaces are on the first floor and open to the rear covered patio, pool and yard via a wall of glass sliding doors. Exterior materials - brick and wood - are…

## Community Q&A

**Q: What type of brick did they use? Love it.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Building a house in Fort Worth Texas and would love to mimic the brick.

A: Hi, I do not have the exact specification for the brick on this project. It was likely a brick from Meridian and in their commerical "V" series. Below is a link and along with a few folks that have brick similar that we use on our projects often.

**Q: love the concrete floor...** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love the concrete floor effect.. Who did these?

A: Hi Scott. This is a polished concrete floor. Thanks for your interest!

**Q: Congrats on a stunning home** *(in Photo Questions)*

Do you have any details on the staircase balustrade. Are the "horizontal" bars square, round or flat? I think this is the perfect profile for a balustrade.

A: Thanks seankott for your question. It's a 1.5" x3/8" flat bar with 3/8" steel rods @4" o.c.

**Q: Hardie Plank** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the style and size of the Hardie plank panels on this house?

A: Thanks for your question. It is a 7.25" smooth Hardie lap.

**Q: AC vents** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you give me some details about the AC vents? How were they made? Very interested

A: Hello. They are a custom fabricated box with small lip the thickness of the sheetrock, size depends on load requirements, and drywall has a "L" bead that trims it out.

**Q: Stools** *(in Photo Questions)*

Very nice stools. Who is the designer?

A: Hi Bao. Thanks for your question. The client made that purchase so we are not certain who the designer is. Sorry could not answer your question.
