These are both close to the kitchen which has light maple cabinets. I have attached photos of a Natural Hickory, Maple Syrup Hickory, and a choice about in between called Jute and shot next to our Dining Room China Hutch. A: I think the darker wood would look nicer if you already have most of your furniture is already that color. You have enough of a contract between the dark floor and the cabinets. We have it against a wall but the window on that wall is not in the center. I do not have any other wall in that room to put this daybed. I have red curtains over the brown shades. M planning on getting rid of the curtains. I desperately need help with how to decorate the wall behind the daybed and next to the window. Please help A: You really have to understand how the program works in order to actually use Photoshop to get ideas from it. It's not one of those programs that you just waltz into and ad things to it. It may be nice to drape some different fabrics around the back getting rid of the widow completely. If you are set on having the bed in this spot, and the widow is that much of an issue, you could always have the window taken out, and replaced with a solid wall.
