> I want to warn you about a bad experience that I had with Pool And Spa Express that I don't believe was a rare situation but rather everyday business for them. I had a great opportunity to improve my in-ground pool and Pool and Spa Express wasted it. Not only did they poorly install my liner but also bent my ladder and got paint on the pool steps.
>
> They found 2 frogs in my empty pool, painted them with galvanized paint and then joked about "those weird silver frogs". I have now discovered 2 unusual lumps under my liner which I suspect are those dead frogs. Speaking of things left under the liner; it was obvious my shallow end had trash under it. I literally made them roll the new liner back so myself and my family could sweep the trash into a pile. The pile was half an inch thick and 2.5 feet in diameter. It consisted of sand, small stones, and bugs. My shallow end has a concrete floor and there's no doubt the stones would have cut the liner. The new liner has a tile pattern and they made no effort to make the tiles go vertically up the wall. Every wall tilts to the right. When I brought it up they said they would correct it before all the water was put in. Instead, they cut in the 8 returns/lights and 2 skimmers which of course made the error permanent. I watched and there had been no effort to straighten the liner.
>
> They said they would take a rope and gently pull my ladder away from the wall to put the new liner behind it. Instead they jerked on the ladder until it was sprung 4 inches away from the wall. I've been able to get the gap down to 2 inches but it is impossible to get all the bend out. Now we will be reminded of their poor workmanship every time we get out of the pool and the ladder bumps against the wall. And won't my guests be impressed!
>
> They carelessly got galvanized paint on the pool steps. When I found it they removed only the paint I pointed out. When I found more they said I should get it off myself with Acetone.
>
> They didn't bring enough salt to weigh the liner down while the pool filled and thought they were ripping me off by using my salt I had in storage. In reality I had arranged to pay an extra $350 for them to chemically treat the pool. They didn't bring \_any\_ chemicals and lost the extra money. I don't understand these folks.
>
> I should have known something was wrong when I visited their shop and their outside display area looks like a graveyard where pool equipment goes to die. Literally.
>
> So if you don't care what your pool looks like, or that your new liner will only last a fraction of its potential life, and if you love being treated like you're an idiot... then these guys are for you. For me never again.
