Lois Shank is the owner of L & L Window Fashions. She does all of the in-home consultations and assists on installations. She has been in the window treatment business for over 30 years. She is a Hunter Douglas Certified Consultant and a Hunter Douglas Master Installer making her an expert on product knowledge, measuring, installation, and repairs.

Ed Shank does installations, repairs, and battery changes. He has gone through extensive training on measuring, installing, and repairing to become a Hunter Douglas Master Installer.

A: This photo is from 2014 and this fabric has since been discontinued. Hunter Douglas has similar patterns and colors available in other fabrics. I recommend visiting hunterdouglas.com or a local dealer to see current options.

Do you know what color and fabric type this is in the duette line?

A: This photo was taken in 2016 and the details on the fabric are no longer available. Based on the photo, I believe this to be either the Classic or Elan fabric. I do not know what specific color it is; it's possible this is a discontinued color. To see the current fabrics & colors, I recommend visiting the Hunter Douglas website or your local Hunter Douglas dealer.

**Q: Hunter Douglas blinds shade of white to coordinate with BM "Designer W** *(in Windows)*

Almost finished with kitchen renovation.  Looking to coordinate the shade of white offered by Hunter Douglas mini-blinds with my cabinets which are "Designer white" (by Benjamin Moore).  Doe anyone know if "snowy white-matte" would work best (vs. "snow storm", or "bright white" (not matte)?

**Q: How to dress window with angled ceilings** *(in Home Decorating)*

Need help deciding what kind of window treatment to use on this window. If curtains, at what height? 
Ignore the fact that there is no trim around the window. That is next week’s project!

A: Because of the placement of the furniture, I wouldn't do drapes. I would suggest an outside-mounted Roman shade. To elongate the window, I would go at least 6-12" above the window.

**Q: Window treatment help with no room for curtain rod** *(in Home Decorating)*

We are in the process or remodeling the basement of the home we moved into. I had planned to put in new blinds and curtains, but realized that the drop ceiling hovers above part of the window.  I am not sure it is possible to put up a curtain rod because there is no clearance above it or to the right side of it.  Even if I were to put a curtain rod flush with the drop ceiling, it doesn't look like it will cover the full window.  There would be a gap of a couple of inches. Any ideas?  Picture of the window and also my original inspiration, which I don't think will work

A: You have too many obstructions to make drapes work (the ledge and the drop ceiling). I would do fabric shades on just the window area.
