## Selected projects

- [Modern Meets Classic](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-meets-classic-pj-vj~7636112)
 - Location: Not specified

 - Description: This client had two bathrooms with distinct goals. For the main bath intended for everyday use, she wanted a classic, open feel—timeless and clean. In the second space, she wanted to have a bit more fun while still keeping ties to a classic aesthetic. We introduced a bold blue tile paired with marble pencil trim and a white textured hexagon floor, blending traditional elements with a modern twist.
- [Serene Refresh: Hallway Powder Room Update](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/serene-refresh-hallway-powder-room-update-pj-vj~7636125)
 - Location: Stafford, Virginia
 - Photos: 8
 - Description: The client had an upcoming event and needed a quick refresh of this half bathroom. With a limited budget and a preference for non-permanent changes, we applied a fresh coat of paint and used peel-and-stick wallpaper to accent the window area. We also added shelving for extra storage and updated the mirror and light switch covers to complete the look.
- [Basement Refresh](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/basement-refresh-pj-vj~7685864)
 - Location: Stafford, Virginia
 - Photos: 1
 - Description: This basement project is scheduled for a future renovation. The client plans to brighten the space by updating the flooring, applying a fresh coat of paint, and installing new cabinets and hardware. A custom media and storage area will also be added to enhance both function and style.

## Community Q&A

**Q: White appliances, calacatta gold quartz countertops - cabinet color?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm fixing up a rental where 1 kitchen wall was affected by mold. I'm now installing new countertops (calacatta gold quartz), a new stainless steel sink & faucet and a dishwasher. The fridge and stove are staying - they are white. Therefore, I am inclined to get a white dishwasher (old dishwasher was white). Old cabinets were dark brown (think 70's era...). I am going to have the kitchen cabinets painted. What color should I use given the white appliances? I had been thinking something like edgecomb grey (more beige) but now with the white appliances, I'm unsure? Kitchen is not very big and does not get a ton of natural light. The unit is located about 1 mile from the beach and the rest of the place does get a lot of natural light with large windows.

A: Hello, here are a few ideas!
Soft warm white:
Keeps things bright, blends with white appliances, and won’t clash with the gold.
Light sandy beige / taupe:
Coastal, hides dirt better than pure white, still light enough to keep it airy.
Pale gray with warm undertones:
Neutral, fresh, and works with gold without making it look gaudy.
Light sage or seafoam green (muted):
A subtle coastal vibe, modernizes the space, and pairs well with gold and white.
-> Safest is warm white or light beige!
Color Suggestion:
Sherwin-Williams Accessible Beige
