I had previously reached out to other designers and didn't work out because they either charge too high of a commission or they only take on projects that need structural change in the apartment. I liked the pictures of Noha's previous projects and her flat fee structure. After showing Noha our apt and our style preference, she was able to deliver a mood board which prompted our decision to hire her. She had great resources in terms of AV, window and wall paper professionals she regularly uses and she interviewed contractors with us as well. She also introduced a number of furniture brands and created shopping trips for us on weekend. One caveat is that designers usually don't work on weekends and we made the point to have Noha agree prior to signed the agreement that she would work with us on a few weekends given both of us work full time. Noha also did project and budget management for us and kept a very clean spreadsheet to track progress and budget. Overall, she was a big help with our renovation and we are very happy with the end result.
