Shirley Kishek listened to my vision, took notes and pretty quickly was on the same page. THE VERY FIRST piece of artwork I was shown captured the essence of what would soon become the most beautifully designed space. Shirley was always very professional and easy to communicate with. Her communications were clear and concise and never left me with questions. After setting a timeframe for the work to be completed, we were always given timely updates. Timeliness, budget and attention to detail were important to me and Kishek Interiors exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this company. **★★★★★ — srbinrock, July 2016** > My husband and I are extremely happy with the transformation of our family room and eat in kitchen space. > > We contacted Shirley to re-decorate our space with furnishings and decor along with re-designing our fireplace wall with built in cabinets and shelvings. She helped with all facets of our project and was always very responsive. She connected us with contractors who could execute the construction parts of the project and she helped manage those designs and work product. > > From the beginning and throughout the project, Shirley listened to what WE wanted. She drew up a thoughtful design plan, adjusting to any of our feedback as needed. She is a talented designer with a good eye for design who pays attention to the details. > > It is a pleasure to work with Shirley and you can tell she enjoys what she does. You receive an amazing work product and will pay very reasonable fees. We are very satisfied with our end product and recommend her work. We look forward to working with Shirley again on our next project. **★★★★★ — Susana Showalter, June 2016** > I can't imagine working with anyone besides Shirley! Shirley is a rare breed in the industry due to the fact that she genuinely cares, is non intimidating and extremely dedicated to her clients. She is a hardworking professional that offers outstanding level of service with much attention to fine detail without an exorbitant fee. She has treated my projects as if they were her own. She'll have yours as well, after you've used her services. **★★★★★ — lisahoneybee, July 2014** > Shirley was amazing, she came out to my home for a in-home consultation and offered many suggestions on how to put ideas I had for home together. She helped with paint color suggestions, and gave tons of ideas to put my study and gathering room together. It was a pleasure meeting with her, she definitely has an eye for design and also using what you already have to pull your plan together. Would highly recommend her. **★★★★★ — katiecalavan, Feb. 2014** > Shirley was amazing and is incredibly talented- she had a blank slate with my home and created a beautiful space for my family. She has an eye for design, listens to your needs, and is mindful of budget. > Shirley in my opinion, is Jacksonville, Florida's most talented designer! > > Katie C. **★★★★★ — hilleham, Nov. 2013** > We hired Shirley to complete a bedroom redesign for us. She was very patient and worked with our budget. She also was kind enough to work around our work schedule. The room looks like something out of a magazine. It is gorgeous. > > Shirley was always very responsive when I called or emailed and she opened my eyes and taught me some things about about decorating. **★★★★★ — pdebrowse, Aug. 2013** > The project was to assist a retired couple decorate a new downsized environment using various treasured pieces along with some new selections. Specific requirements and requests were managed perfectly. We described the function and vibe we wanted and they presented excellent choices that were spot on. One specific challenge was a triple sliding glass door in the great room with ugly vertical blinds provided by the builder of this new construction. Given the strong light during part of the day we wanted to keep the blinds for functionality. Housedressings devised a sheer linen drape with extra full pleats that totally disguised the blinds. We can control the light and have the view. Another challenge was an artisan dining table made from a variety of woods. We requested upholstered dining chairs with arms. Housedressings found the perfect combination of casual style and comfort that we wanted for this multi purpose table. Working with Housedressings has been a total joy. They have helped us realize our vision for the new environment. They listened well and got to know us. **★★★★★ — plr0910, May 2013** > I had a very good experience with Shirley Kishek. She was able to produce my vision and stay within my budget. I was actually able to save time and money working with her. She is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The biggest advantage was getting quality furnishing through her designer resources. Very high recommendation. **★★★★★ — dmurphy50, April 2013** > I recently worked with Shirley on some interior decorating projects at my house. Shirley did a fantastic job-she came over to consult with me and to get to know my personal style before we started the work, in order to agree on the overall direction. The house looks beautiful! I get so many compliments on it when friends come to visit. I would definitely work with Shirley again and highly recommend her work! **★★★★★ — leilamousa, Dec. 2012** > I selected Housedressings Interiors, LLC after seeing results that the designer, Shirley Kishek, had created in other homes and locations. Shirley's knowledge of design, color and owner's wishes was a key in my selection of this company. The work involved a complete redesign of my living room and dining room with custom made accent chairs, window treatments, accessories, and hardword floors for the entire house. She met my budget needs and at the same time created the vision I had for the redesign work. I would enthusiastically encourage anyone thinking of interior design work for their home, to call Housedressings Interiors for a consult. I know I plan to continue my relationship with this company as I look to other interior design work for my home. Shirley Kishek is a professional with knowledge and expertise in creating things of beauty. Highly recommended. ## Selected projects - [JAMES ISLAND CLUBHOUSE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/james-island-clubhouse-pj-vj~5597640) - Location: Jacksonville, FL - Photos: 12 - [AZALEA POINT](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/azalea-point-pj-vj~2712643) - Location: Ponte Vedra Beach, FL - Photos: 14 - [JAMES ISLAND](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/james-island-pj-vj~1843092) - Location: Jacksonville, FL - Photos: 10 - [LINFORD LANE- EPPING FOREST](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/linford-lane-epping-forest-pj-vj~486623) - Location: Jacksonville, FL - Photos: 19 - Description: Master Bedroom - [THE AUGUSTINE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-augustine-pj-vj~580596) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 15 - [CASTILLO](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/castillo-pj-vj~582023) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 21 - [SOLANO](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/solano-pj-vj~584727) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 13 - [THE VILANO](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-vilano-pj-vj~585816) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 11 - [VIZCAYA TOWNHOME](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/vizcaya-townhome-pj-vj~147747) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 10 - [JACKSONVILLE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB RESIDENCE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/jacksonville-golf-and-country-club-residence-pj-vj~156308) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 10 - [OAKLEAF PLANTATION RESIDENCE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/oakleaf-plantation-residence-pj-vj~322117) - Location: Jacksonville, FL - Photos: 5 - [OCEAN MANOR CONDOS- PONTE VEDRA, FL.](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/ocean-manor-condos-ponte-vedra-fl-pj-vj~118957) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [QUEENS HARBOR RESIDENCE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/queens-harbor-residence-pj-vj~388463) - Location: Jacksonville, FL - Photos: 6 [See all 13 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/interior-designers-and-decorators/kishek-interiors-llc-pfvwus-pf~1325406204) ## Community Q&A **Q: Love the rug! Where can I purchase it?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Love the cocktail table. Can you tell me what manufacturer? **Q: Bedside chests** *(in Photo Questions)* Please tell me the maker of the off white chests A: These have actually been discontinued. **Q: need help with bathroom sinks** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are putting granite counter tops in our new bathrooms and have selected drop in sinks. I started looking for pictures with drop in sinks and have noticed there are not many. Most people do an under mount in their granite. Am I making a mistake putting drop in sinks? A: Yes, I always install undermount sinks with granite tops. It is the way to go. **Q: Need color in master bedroom.** *(in Design Dilemma)* tropical bedding in black on ivory large pineapple pattern. It needs an accent color. Maybe pillows or accessories??? Help!! A: Why don't you add a pop of turquoise? Like you mentioned... a bed accent pillow, or even some colored lamps! **Q: Where is the chair from?** *(in Photo Questions)* I love the look of the chair and the color I have been trying to find something similar for months. Any idea who makes this chair/ where to purchase something like it? A: I believe it is a Lake Hickory piece. Hope this helps! **Q: Placement of sofa** *(in Photo Questions)* Why was the furniture oriented away from the window view? The bulk of the seating looks inward, and the club chairs face the window. Studying furniture placement for ideas. Thanks A: This project was done for a large family. The club chair wall is a short wall and would not accommodate a sectional. Actually, the sectional is fairly short in height and you are still able to enjoy the view. Thanks for the input. --- *Source: Houzz professional profile. Reflects the profile as of 2026-11-08.*
