I wanted a higher-end finishes and that apparently caused multiple lengthy delays with subcontractors who were unfamiliar with and/or unable or unwilling to obtain the information and materials needed. Some things, such as loose siding, incorrectly installed appliances and multiple nails and trash left behind just felt a bit sloppy. > The project had months of down time, cost quite a bit more in tens of thousands than originally anticipated, and “finished” (rather just petered out) with no expressed appreciation for my patronage, which would have been a nice touch after such a difficult and costly process.
