In 1992 two friends, Terry Hammack and Mark Anderson, formed Anderson & Hammack Construction Co., Inc. At that time they had about 60 years of experience between the two of them in new home construction, remodeling and restorations. They took their passion for quality construction to build better Duluth homes, higher performing Superior homes, and beautiful long lasting business spaces. Northland homes were being built to a new level with the help of Terry and Mark’s knowledge. This was because both of them started in the business very young helping their fathers and learning the trades and practices passed down over generations. Anderson and Hammack is licensed and bonded for Wisconsin and Minnesota. In 2011 they welcomed a new partner, Nicholas Olson. Nicholas was hired as a carpenter in 2004 and has welcomed the challenge to take Anderson Hammack into the future. As of October 2018, Nicholas became the sole owner of Anderson & Hammack and continues to lead it’s growth. Being on top of the custom home building industry is important to Anderson Hammack. Our team is continually attending workshops and seminars on upcoming building practices and new trends in order to provide our customers with a product that they will love for years to come. Although they are unafraid to take on any project, they specialize in building high performance custom Duluth and Superior area homes. From the administration and project management to the high level of finish their homes receive each and every project is handled with care and consideration for the clients wants and needs. This project included new kitchen and baths, reconfigure an old bathroom and closet space into a new bathroom and laundry room, rebuild the main staircase in the home, repair and refinish the floors. I enjoyed working with Terry Hammack planning each project which included, among other things, an upgrade of the garage and general curb appeal, a spa addition (sauna and Yoga room), a sunroom addition, a year-round garden shed, and with expert help from Core Landscaping of Superior, a patio with a pergola, and with the expert help from Rob's Custom Cabinets and Carlson Tile both of Superior, the installation of a new kitchen and bathrooms.  Anderson & Hammack has, without doubt, the finest craftsman.  And, they bring in the very best specialty contractors.  One thing about remodeling work, one always runs into the unexpected.  A&H craftsmen always came up with several ideas to solve each problem--some of which were brilliant solutions that would have never occurred to me.  These guys are worth every penny.

I used them 20 years ago to remodel our 1920s four square house. They stayed true to the design of the home and the work they did is structurally sound and timeless in design. This year we hired them to build a 26 x 12 combination den, bath, laundry room addition. Even the neighbors are amazed at how Anderson & Hammack have created a space that appears as though it were part of the original construction. Seamless design. They are not the lowest bidders but not the highest either. They pay their crew competitive wages and benefits and treat them like family. In turn, their crew are held to the highest quality workmanship. The job site is always neat and clean at days end. We are excited for the project to be underway and glad to have Mark & Terry managing the job.

**Q: Island Question** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the dimensions of the kitchen island?

A: The island is 72" x 30", not including the table.

**Q: Another question.What is is the hood depth?** *(in Photo Questions)*

The reason I ask is the hood appears low and I wonder if it  may be too close to someone cooking. It is probably just hard to tell from a picture. Thank you

A: The depth of the hood is 22" which is fairly typical.  The couple this was done for absolutely love it and said the hood does not get in their way.

**Q: Distance from bottom of hood to stove top?** *(in Photo Questions)*

This kitchen has many qualities that I am considering in my kitchen remodel. Is the cherry wood natural or stained?  Thankyou

A: the hood is 24" from the cook top, we always default to the manufacturers specifications.
