## Community Q&A

**Q: Help blending the look of my open floor plan L.R. / Kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I remodeled my living room and kitchen and its now open plan, but I cannot seem to get a flow going in these rooms.  I want continuity in color.  I have granite in kitchen and having a hard time decorating with it.  The Kitchen cabinets are now white, they were previously black but made the kitchen to dark.  Here are pics PLEASE HELP!!!

A: Wow looks like you have done a lot of work!  Just by looking at the pictures, one thing that throws off your desired look is that red and black furniture piece. I also see your art work, and the keys and portrait, go well, but the "believe" print looks out of sorts.   Is the wainscoting painted the same color as the upper wall? Painting it white or off white would make it relate to the kitchen cabinets.
