Menter Architects is a full service architecture firm specializing in high-end custom residential design.  Founded in 1991 the partnership of Margaret Menter and Norm Menter has been designing uniquely beautiful homes across the Pacific Northwest. With over 60 years of combined experience in designing and building new homes and renovating existing homes, they have honed their skills at helping clients to navigate the design process, from initial concept development through successful completion of construction.

Could you please share the manufacturers of the windows? Are they made of steel? Thanks!

A: Thank you for your nice comments.  The windows are made of wood and we had them custom manufactured to match the existing wood windows in this home that had been built in the 1960's with very narrow sash dimensions and surface mounted bolts to hold the sashes closed.  The 1 3/4" sash widths are similar to what is typical for steel windows. We painted these dark brown to match the beams. A similar look can be achieved with steel windows, we've used Optimum Windows Reliant series on a recent project with nice results.

what kind of wall hooks are you using to hang the guitars?

A: I don't recall the brand we used here, but there are many simple hook solutions available such as JamStands or String Swing for hanging guitars

A: I believe the island was approximately 40"x x 96" long.  The end panel is a set of 27" wide subzero refrigerator drawers

A: I'm sorry I don't recall the wall color. We used Benjamin Moore Paints if that helps thanks

A: Sorry I don't recall the exact specification, but I think it was an Ann Sacks 2"x4" ceramic tile in a slightly yellow off-white, maybe butter cream?
