**Q: What material is the counter?** *(in Photo Questions)*

This is my favorite kitchen on all of Houzz and the internet!  It speaks to me with its simple lines. So many kitchens these days scream to be noticed but this is the true show-stopper.  I assumed it was in Santa Barbara- very surprised to hear it was done by a Nashville designer.  Kudos to you- excellent work!

A: beautiful job! what is the color of the cabinets?

A: The brown is a mid-tone bronze/brown that I custom mixed. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific but I often paint like I cook with a little of this, a little of that, a pinch of this, until I like what I have.

What are the colors used on this wall?

A: The plaster is a custom tint in the beige family with a hand rubbed bronze wax

**Q: opinions of glazed walls in powder room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Are glazed walls cool?

A: Faux finishes aren't for your Grandma anymore. There are a million different ways to add visual interest to boring walls with faux and decorative finishes. Why would you want your home to have ordinary painted walls just like the dollar store down the street? Your home should be a reflection of your personality. Metallic glazes can dress a room up and even add a contemporary elegance that can't be achieved with simple paint. When you think of glazes, don't think about the old faux with sponge and rag marks (gross), think about how you want to add a little movement to the wall. As a professional decorative finisher working in primarily high end and multi-million dollar homes, I highly recommend glazes as an inexpensive way to tie a room together. It doesn't have to be the old Mediterranean golds with brown glaze anymore. Have fun, it's just paint!!!  ;).

**Q: Could you please tell me the dimensions of the door, sidelights, & transom?  Also, what is the ceiling height?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I do not have that information. This was completed several years ago but to the best of my recollection it was all builder grade standard.

**Q: What is the paint & glaze color used?  It is perfect!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: You can do gray. Just keep it a warm gray just in case there is a yellow or pink undertone in your white cabinets that you may not be spotting.
