Thinking of exposing my JC row house kitchen ceiling, but having considerations about loosing insulation and noise barrier? Did you have this issue?

A: My clients have not mentioned noise as an issue, but if you were doing a gut renovation you could add roll out insulation to the floor above prior to laying new floor.

A: That is just 5/8" sheetrock!

How would you get to the dryer vent and washer water connections if you had to?

A: A portion of the countertop lifts off to expose piping, vent duct, etc. and there is enough room to access/disconnect the water supply and hose connections.
