**★★★★★ — Dee Salomon, April 2017**

> Amazing to find such an esoteric resource online; and one where the owners really know their stuff. I wanted to use cobblestone inside and my contractor wasn't sure it could be done. The Van Liefdes helped him understand how to do it. The cobble arrived on time and without much of a hitch-- tons of it to a remote section of Connecticut.

**Comment from Monarch Stone International:**

> We appreciate your kind words. Our main goal is a happy, satisfied client! We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful antique, reclaimed Historic European Cobblestone for years to come!

**★★★★★ — Alexandra Jones, April 2017**

> We used Monarch Stone to supply 3500 SF of Historic European Cobblestone for a project in San Francisco. We worked closely with Anthony Van Liefde to source beautifully aged cobble that lined our clients driveway in a carefully designed arc pattern. Anthony was very involved from the procurement process through to assisting our installers with final installation and consulting on final maintenance suggestions. He continued to be involved through to the very end and the final product turned out beautifully!

**Comment from Monarch Stone International:**

> It is always a pleasure to work with the finest homebuilders! Thank you Matarozzi Pelsinger, we look forward to working with you again!

**★★★★★ — RDM General Contractors, Jan. 2016**

> Monarch Stone has been a professional and reliable company to work with on our projects. From start to finish the quality of work they have shown and product they have supplied has been at the highest level. RDM would recommend Monarch Stone to anyone looking for an outstanding job.

**Comment from Monarch Stone International:**

> Thank you RDM General Contractors! We appreciate your confidence in us and look forward to our continued relationship!

**★★★★★ — Foxborough, Inc., Dec. 2015**

> As a contractor, one of the key elements to our success is our vendors. Monarch Stone has become our go to source for international stone supply. Working with them over the past three years and five projects, small and large, we have been satisfied with their service and products. If you're looking for a stone that you can't find locally then you need to speak with Lisa or Anthony and they will help you find the source. You can expect ample details, photos, and mock ups of the product. Also, don't be hesitant of the international shipping as we had zero issue with the setup and expertise provided by Monarch Stone. Expect exceptional service, exceptional product, and timely delivery.

**Comment from Monarch Stone International:**

> Our sincere thanks for your confidence in our service and products! We look forward to our next project together!

**★★★★★ — osiecki29, Oct. 2014**

> Working with Monarch Stone was a great pleasure! They help to find a exact match of a natural stone paver material that we were looking for. Material was shipped to us in Las Vegas in a timely manner. They even made special trips to Vegas to help with the install.Project turned out Awesome! We would highly recommend Monarch Stone for your stone needs.

**★★★★★ — Andy Getsey, Oct. 2014**

> My landscape architect, Dorthy Pautz, found Monarch Stone online during our search for authentic old European cobblestone for the terraces of a large 1936 Italianate villa my wife and I restored in Marin County, CA over 2012 and 2013. Anthony and Lisa at Monarch had the 2 varieties of 150+ year old cobblestone we were hoping to find, and also provided sections of old limestone curb we used for steps. They were very fast in responding to us, gave us a good price and were very efficient and accurate in arranging for shipping. They even bought back some of the surplus from the job. We highly recommend them.

**★★★★★ — cmgjgibson, Dec. 2013**

> My husband found Monarch Stone International online and immediately fell in love with the pictures of their product. We decided on the reclaimed granite cobblestone to complement our new Mediterranean revival home here in Naples, Florida. From the start, the communication with Anthony and Lisa was wonderful. With all of the stress that comes along with building an 11,000 sq ft home, we have to say Monarch Stone was one of the easiest companies to work with and it was a flawless transaction. They kept in touch with us throughout the shipping process and everything was delivered right on time. We are the first in our neighborhood to have the granite cobblestone and everyone who drives by has stopped to ask about the driveway. It has been a big hit in the neighborhood! This has such a striking and unique look, much better than any concrete paver could offer. The quality of the cobblestone is superb, much more beautiful and substantial in person than one could imagine. We highly recommend Monarch Stone and would certainly use them again in the further for another build.

**Comment from Monarch Stone International:**

> It was a pleasure to work with Dr. and Mrs. Winzenried. Here is a photo of their beautiful home with their driveway using antique Historic European Cobblestone, granite two sizes: 5"x5" and 5"x8".

> We called on Monarch Stone International to help us select and install all of the stone for the construction of our home in Laguna Beach, California. We learned of Monarch Stone from two different general contractors in the area. We worked with Anthony, the owner of Monarch Stone, who provided stone samples and offered ideas on the various ways the stone could be cut and surfaced. The workmanship involved in laying the stone was excellent because of the talent of the stone cutters and installers Anthony assigned to the job. Anthony worked along with his crew to insure the quality and aesthetics of the job. Monarch Stone has access to many quarries both in the U.S and in Europe. This gave us a wide choice in the selection of the stone. We were very pleased with the final result. We have just recently purchased stone from Monarch Stone for a second home now under construction in Washington State.

**★★★★★ — Craig Reynolds Landscape Architecture, Jan. 2013**

> As a landscape architect, I rely on companies such as Monarch Stone to source and deliver materials that make the designs perfect. Monarch Stone exceeded my expectations, well done! They found and supplied reclaimed European Cobblestones in the exact style, quantity, and price that we needed.

**★★★★★ — Mike Porter, Jan. 2013**

> Monarch Stone was great to work with on our driveway project. The cobblestones came as promised and on time. They were very helpful and responsive on the phone and via email to questions.
> The stones are beautiful!

## Community Q&A

**Q: are these Belgian blocks** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you please tell me if these are Belgian blocks?

A: Yes we are the importers and sell directly anywhere in the USA. However, there are constraints based on quantity for anything less than a full container/truckload. Please tell me approximately, the square footage you need? And, is it being set on sand or concrete?

**Q: Can you tell me the paver name and color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello adgemckee, these are antique 100- 400 year old reclaimed granite cobblestones, with well worn tops and gently tapered sides. This size in the photo is 5" w x 8" long x 5" to 6" tall. Many other sizes are available. They can also be sawn thin, for a 1-1/2" or 2" thickness. The colors naturally range from grays, greens, rust and earth tones. Visit our websites for more info or give us a call: www.HistoricEuropeanCobblestone.com or www.MonarchStoneInternational.com

**Q: Compass** *(in Photo Questions)*

**Q: what is the material used for the eavestroughs/flashing?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello blinkingpuddle ....the rain gutter system is all made of copper!

**Q: What is the name of this Limestone Pattern?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi Monarch, I love this! What is the name of this Limestone Pattern??

A: Hello! It's called "Castle Rock". Thanks for asking!

**Q: where do the drains/gutters empty to?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Lovely house. Where do the drains empty?

A: Hello Neil! Thanks for your question. The drain pipes continue inside the structural framework down through the foundation, then connect to the street drainage system. Drain pipes in the foundation are predetermined.
