It is 2,000 square feet, much smaller than their big, gorgeous lake homes, but they gave us (and the house) all of the time and attention needed. Right up front, they give a very detailed estimate including three price ranges for every little thing. They consider it their job to build the house the buyer will love, at a price the buyer can afford. Barbara and Jesse helped me pick out every little thing for the house, to my taste. In areas where I wasn't sure, Barb's excellent taste guided me, but never dominated. For example, I wanted some very unusual back splash tiles for the kitchen. Barb expressed some doubt, but was supportive of my decision, then Jesse found the exact tiles at a low price. If I didn't like the choices they gave me, for anything, they would persist in searching until they found something I liked, even if I was ready to give up and settle for something I didn't like. Scott and Jeremy (the foreman) are experienced and talented builders who work hard. I or my husband went to the building site every day, and were highly impressed by the fact that everybody there was working hard, nobody was standing around. It was very rare that nobody was there, and always due to something unavoidable, like bad weather - apparently they are very good at coordinating their subs. We had an unusually warm and dry winter - they were flexible enough to start building earlier in the year than usual, to take advantage of the weather. Scott expects speed and perfection from his subs, so that's what they give him. Communication with SVC was always prompt and positive, whether by phone, e-mail or in person. If we found a problem and communicated it to them, chances were they had already found it and were working on a solution. They are always professional, positive and helpful, and just plain good people. The house was completed in the time estimated, and very much to our satisfaction. They want you to love what they build for you and do everything they can to achieve that. There were many little touches that make the house elegant, that I didn't expect, but are standard practice for them. We only had to do one thing right - hire the right builder - and they got everything else right. What is your opinion on this roof? A: HI, this is o Owens Corning, Oakridge Shingles “Peppermill Gray”. The picture is not a true representation of the siding color, which is more brown in real life.
