Doris Younger listened to our (completely opposite) wants and needs with an interior re-design, including kitchen, living room, dining room, and two and a half baths. Brought ideas, photos, and fabrics to narrow down our interests. Used CAD to design our new interior and show us what it could look like. Many pieces she showed us were right on target and we ordered sight unseen from photos and catalogues. Doris also escorted us to the design district where we were able to see first hand and touch many furniture pieces, chandliers, lamps, fabrics, faucets, fixtures, etc. Our design was transitional/contemporary; however, she has a portofolio of all styles. Very versitle! Everyone that saw the before and after is amazed and delighted. We have given her name and number to several friends (and strangers that came to purchase old furniture!). I think it is actually better than my inspiration picture. We did a total tear down of the old bathroom. Doris took me to the best tile shop in Dallas and we selected a beautiful honed statuary marble and basketweave marble for the floor and shower. From there she made the suggestions for the clawfoot airtub, telephone water faucet. She selected a rain shower and hand held for the shower all in beautiful satin nickel. We went for the steam shower as well. I had a ten foot long cabinet previously, so we broke that length into three pieces with the center standing out and up from the other two, with a center cabinet on top, but only coming out 12 inches, with nice drawers and display shelf. Also added a large linen cabinet with two large pull out drawers to act as towel and sheet hampers. > > Doris made some great suggestions for updating the master closet, by adding custom built-in his/her dressers, full size shoe rack and laundry basket holder. It looks like a boutique shop. Everything was beautifully executed with the general contractor she brought in, it has taken about 2 1/2 months - but from a complete tear down (the tile job took 3 weeks alone). It is amazing and the costs has been well worth it. I could have never have found these amazing materials without her assistance. If you get the chance you should hire her! Builder grade material prices too boot. Doris and her team took probably 2 months to bid the project. They brought in the subs to see the project and quote it, but this time it was about the materials. The price that Doris bid was very comparable to other quote that I received. Thanks A: These are two small doors because there are no walls for the doors to open up to and they were made for the project. **Q: Couch.** *(in Photo Questions)* Can you tell me where you purchased the couch? A: As an interior designer, I do my purchasing for clients from the Dallas Market Center which is only accessible to designers & architects. **Q: converting cornertub into shower,what is size where toget glass doors** *(in Photo Questions)* would this work for converting a corner spa tub into shower and where do I look for similar glass enclosure A: Yes, it should work very well to convert your corner tub to a similar shower as this. The difference to keep in mind is this shower was built during new construction so the shower floor is flush with the bathroom floor (no curb) but when you convert you will probably have a raised curb under the door which is what you see in a lot of showers. The glass is custom done by a glass company and is rimless. The glass company will come out and measure & install. You can also choose the color you would like the hardware (does not have to be bronze). You may also choose to have no half walls and carry the glass full length.
