Decided to hire them for the job. Cabinets were ordered and delivered in May of 2019. Everything seemed great. Until then. They left the cabinets uninstalled until "the floors" were finished. When in reality, they could have installed everything above the toe kick and 1/4 round and covered them, to prevent damage. (the house was unoccupied) Which should have made the job easier. But no, we were treated as some annoying "side job", when in fact we had paid well over $40K for the kitchen and bath vanity and cabinet. They continually sent us emails claiming the job was "finished" please pay the balance, only for us to discover things incomplete like, no running water in the bathroom, (all the way through January of 2020) kitchen faucet is somehow loose, like moves forward and back! Owners spent a good amount of time arguing about how to fix this. No water and ice hook up on our fridge. They just continually point fingers at any other contractor that was in the house. We had a piece designed that we were told would look like a "piece of furniture". When installed, it didn't fit the section of wall, and they left off a "furniture end" so that their was no symmetry to it. I was there when they were trying to figure out where said end piece went, I pointed it out, and they agreed it went there. They then decided once I was gone, that they would not use the piece we paid for and was pictured in our design, and used a piece of painted PLYWOOD! We watched on our surveillance camera as the owner walked out w/ the piece! I have photos of the completed cabinet, not professionally done. There was a cabinet door with glass panels in it, that hard a deep gouge in it. I pointed it out and was told they would take it and have it replaced. Great! Instead, they took it, painted the hole and re-installed the SAME damaged door. They refused to go under the house to do the necessary water hookups to the fridge. Also, a piece of "laminate" 1/4 round was installed (without getting our input, before purchase and installation) on a beautiful rustic hickory vanity. It looks ridiculous. I We got numerous emails over the course of this project stating "just a couple more hours of work to be done". We did a kitchen reno on another house a couple of years ago, and the difference in approach and treatment of the client is remarkable. Osprey oak? Whitewater oak? Another choice? I don’t see the rough saw distress marks of some of the other color options like seaboard oak and north shore oak.
