Horizon was recommended to me by our designer. She said that Hunter Douglas which we had in our previous home was too expensive. I was not told that they open as a standard window shade does with a pull string There are no pictures on line showing what the shade looks like from the outside. I was very unhappy when shades were received and cords and grommets are seen on the outside. I had ordered shades with liners thinking all would look attractive when walking up to the house - however the cords are on the outside of the liner. When shades are closed you see gold rings which the cords go through. Very disappointed. > > One shade has already broken. I am still waiting for replacement. It has already been 4 months since it was sent back to the company. The other shades feel as though they will soon break for when you pull the string they do not easily go up. You also need to make sure they don't go up too fast and need to arrange the pleats to make sure they are even when they are opened. > > We spent thousand of dollars on window treatments for the entire house. Of course since they are custom they are not returnable. Went into one of their dealers to look at bamboo shade options for a client. Found two great options. Asked the dealer to get me pricing on the size and options that I needed. After several days the dealer contacted me to say that Horizons informed them that one was discontinued. Okay, still had the other option and they were both the same Grade, so lets get the pricing. Now 4 days have passed and no pricing and the dealer contacted me to say that Horizons had informed them that the other option was also discontinued. Really! In four days, I had a confirmed quote from The Shade Store, Hunter Douglass and Graber and yet Horizons not only could not provide pricing but could not determine that both selected options were not available. > Definately will not do any business with Horizons. **★ — HU-609197558, Jan. 2022** > Horizons classic roman shades going in the garbage. > Unhappy, frustrated customer...I have blinds that no longer work after a short time. We are ordered roman shades. After less than one year the cords became frayed and completely fell apart. When we contact Horizon, they said they do not warranty this. Shipping. onsite repair and any re-work must be paid for by us. They have no warranty!
