> Stoney Bank Nurseries (Joe Blandy, in particular) did an amazing job with our outdoor project.  Joe met with us several times to design the plans, and he not only made sure that our needs were met, but he was very thoughtful and knowledgable in creating spaces that we hadn't thought of and picking out specific plants for our yard (he considered color and seasonal changes, interest, height, size, etc.)  We had an outdoor fireplace and patio built to take advantage of a previously unused space, and the contractors who built the fireplace did a wonderful job with the stone work.  Joe also fixed drainage and erosion issues with the design and used mostly native plants to reduce watering requirements. Joe stayed involved throughout all aspects of the project and quickly dealt with any issues that arose.  All the workers were very professional and considerate.  They moved the portable potty out of sight when we were having a party, they blew the leaves off our deck without being asked, and they mulched our front flower beds using the extra mulch from the back--just really nice.  We could not be happier.

> Stoney Bank designed and installed our beautiful back yard seating area.This was an area of the yard which was little used because of the unusual slope to the ground. Now it is an oasis for family and friends to gather with a built in fire pit. Currently, we have them back to design and install the front yard. Stoney Bank responds quickly when called or emailed and is timely when scheduled to do work. Their work is excellent and the designs are gorgeous. Plant materials are  exceptional.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Who made the custom fence?  It is beautiful. I live in Bryn Mawr.** *(in Photo Questions)*

I live on a corner where my "true" backyard adjuncts my neighbor's front yard.  I am building a small pool set back from the street and would need about the side of fence shown in your photo to make a mandatory pool fence nice-looking from the street.

A: We designed the fence and gate in collaboration with a master woodworker.  We have completed several projects with this master woodworker and are happy to discuss with you your vision for your current project.

**Q: What's the height of this wall with the cap?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: A 16" tall wall with  a 2" cap.  Top of wall to patio is 18".
