## Community Q&A

**Q: What color floors would you choose?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I've bought a near completion spec home with 3" white oak HW flooring.  The HW is in the ground floor including kitchen.  The builder has spec'd Minwax Provincial stain but I would like some opinions please on what you would choose.  The cabinets are espresso, the granite is Giallo Ornamental and the walls are mostly 0212 Big Spender.  I've attached photos.  The furniture will be added to the "canvas" that the floors make.  Thanks in advance for all comments.

What are the dimensions of this entire space?

A: From the right cabinet deep around 26"-27" walking area supposed to be 36" island looking like 48", refrigerator opening look like 36" or 42". The last is pantry/closet door around 26 or 28" door. I guess total would be around 16'-18'

**Q: Need to install shelves- but how??** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This has been dead space in our kitchen. It's about 3' accross by 1' deep by 2 1/2' tall. we don't want to use brackets,  the studs are uneven so brackets would be off center. help!

A: You can just drill the hole for shelves pins on two side of the cabinet panel. Drill more hole can be adjustable. You can use 3/4" or 1" thick wood. I prefer 1" thick shelves. That is the easy way no wall will get damage.
