**Q: New cabinets** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I would like to get new cabinets.

**Q: kitchen ceiling, too many ac vents? should I close one?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I realized after sheetrock that hvac made 6 vents for central ac cuz explained that those are only 4" ducts coming from large trunk line. Of course it's well distributed but my ceiling is awful now. And they are quite close to my can lights! I'm extremely upset and need help.  other side of kitchen will be fridge in center and pantry cabinets on each side. Kitchen area 15ft long x 13 ft wide (putting narrow island) and dinette 10 ft wide x 14 ft long(I have family/playroom on other side of dinette(there is a wall with a 5 ft opening and pocket doors when I want the toys/mess out of sight)
cabinets will be at the right of the first photo and dinette table before patio door and the side of the table I have 3 narrow windows(after 2nd beam we extended 7 ft and old beam had to stay so I built a second one to match so we can put more windows and still look decent. will need helpe on deco ideas later on for this.

**Q: What color to paint the island?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We have been working on our house since we moved in in June and I want to break up all the wood in the kitchen. The wall color is stonington gray and our BIG plan is to paint the cabinets white dove.  We are going to beef up the builder grade island with some molding and board and Batton.  

So the question is paint the island white dove too or go for a contrasting color?!!

**Q: Ideas on feature, TV wall** *(in Design Dilemma)*

The picture you see, is the wall that will be the family room, TV wall, the opening, is for the cable box/ DVD, etc, the box on top and sides were created to cover the drain pipe that had to come down, I like to get any Ideas of how to make this wall and the bottom part of the wall an interesting and eye catching one. the style of house is very modern.

**Q: Need suggestion for my new first home!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello, 
This is our first home that we purchased after marriage and I am really excited to do it up really well. Since the house isn't too big I want to make it a cozy and loving abode for both.i like eclectic kindda home. Attached is the layout that the builder has provided. It would be great if you can post pictures of the kind of furniture and decor I should put in for the living room. Like for example the kind of art piece I should put in the thin small hallway
