We got some awful trees. Notified them soon after we moved in about the trees. Yes we signed that the stuff looked good but we were under the assumption the trees were taken care of by coventry and/or the landscapers during the 36 days prior to our buying the house. We know now to being a certified Arborist to the walk through and don't sign anything but we feel that if we didn't sign the build would of paid us 500 plus out money back and cancelled the contract. We are now out thousands of dollars and no help from the builder. Almost everyone in the new section of the neighborhood has lost at least one tree. **★ — Stacey, Dec. 2022** > My boyfriend and I built a home with Coventry homes over a year ago now. We have been putting in warranty request for 6 months. At the beginning of Dec. we finally spoke with someone who told us that we would get start in two weeks. When that time came around we still recieved no schedule or communication. They then changed their plan and told us we would have to wait until the houses were done closing in Dec. We have been waiting six months with 54 warranty items that need to be fixed. Some of which are a danger to us being here in the home. I would never recommend this builder to anyone. We stop receiving any communication from many people in the company after closing. DO NOT BUY WITH THEM! Here are my list of cons > > They are expensive so you expect quality work which is not there. > There warranty department is slowed by their subcontractors. roof shingle and siding damaged by trades took almost a year. > > Its always your fault once you sign blueprint. We made some changes to kitchen as result beam was going to showup in middle of kitchen cabinets no one told us that beforehand and later they changed 500 for admin fee and 1500 for other beam so that they can hide it in ceiling. > Interior doors are closing by themselves as door jamb is not level. Outside main post is not straight they forgot to use something called "level". They promised to fix both of these problems will update once it happens in about year from now! > UPDATE --- No one called or tried to fix at least post till today aug 05 2020. > > Kitchen island is shaking if someone walks by. I have had nothing but issues and code violations. When brought to their attention (Len Walters+HenrI Rodier) was told that it was done to building codes. Non existent vapor barrier on warmside of wall, floor joist cut in half and a 40' sewerline sag ($15000 fix) and much more. I would strongly advise to choose another builder.
