> Red Roots has my deep appreciation for their work with my project. I have had significant landscape work both hardscape and garden work done with the same group twice! Two projects. And they were both done to my complete satisfaction.
>
> Not only did the hardscape include load bearing retaining walls but also creating landscape elements like columns and pergolas and pathways. Everything was started and completed exactly on time. There was continuous supervision and no days were wasted. Everyone was knowledgeable, followed the spec and behaved very professionally.
>
> We highly recommend Red Roots and Memo Banuelos for your projects!

**★★★★★ — HU-786492354, Dec. 2020**

> Red Roots was recommended to us both by our landscape architect and some friends - a great recommendation. They worked with us to adjust plans, giving us options, invited us to their yard to select trees, and ultimately delivered ahead of target date. Our project involved removing some lawn, installing trees, rearranging sprinklers and installing a flagstone path. While our project was a relatively small job, they were diligent, timely, efficient and cleaned up nicely. I would totally use them for any future work.

**★★★★★ — Joanne P, July 2020**

> Red Roots was recommended by our landscape architect and what a fantastic recommendation. They are a family owned business who did their utmost to exceed our expectations. I could talk to the owner and the field supervisor was always available. We live on an acre and our backyard was in disrepair. From beginning to completion (which was done earlier than we expected) we were treated with compassion and respect which I hope we returned. Every detail of our project was executed with vast knowledge and care. They have their own tractors, not rented, so they were always available. My husband could not believe how diligent they were in grading our whole backyard and preparing for the lawn area. We had a drainage issue and they were knowledgeable in resolving that issue. Red Roots discussed and made some modifications of our plan to make our backyard more feasible. We look forward to working with Red Roots again, when we are ready to tackle our front yard.

**★★★★★ — Paul Cetani, May 2020**

> I solicited and qualified 4 contractors before deciding to hire Red Roots. From start to finish they have been great with communication, clean up, quality workmanship, and follow up. Very easy to work with and have recommended them to my family members and friends.

**★★★★★ — Krista Polanco, Sept. 2019**

> We contacted Red Roots to do some masonry on the front of our house as well as fully redo the landscape on our front yard. They referred me to a few landscape architects to do the design work. We worked with Karen to come up with the design for the yard. Her plans were an excellent likeness to what I was wanting, we only had to make one revision and she was very responsive & got me a final plan that I loved. As far as the masonry...it was hard to get a conceptual plan, but Relly and I came up with a plan that we both felt would work for our house.
> When I got my quote I was surprised by how expensive everything was going to be. We worked together and made some adjustments to get the price to a place that worked.
> Once we went into contract, Relly was very helpful & responsive on walking me through the process. I had a hard time picking out the stone for the house, but Relly kept the ball rolling. He made sure I made the trek up to Mountain View to visit a showroom that had all the stonework displayed. Once I made that decision the rest of the process was easy!
> The crews that did both the masonry & landscape were very nice and respectful. At the end of every day they made sure we had clear walk ways in & out of the house. The masonry was a dusty mess, but at the end of the work week they would clean off the porch & driveway which was very nice & unexpected. The end result of the masonry is exactly what I wanted & we love it!!
> The landscape portion of the project was lead by Lee. What a gem!!! I have nothing but great things to say about Lee! He took Karen’s plan and made a few adjustments with plant placement. I honestly loved all of his suggestions. We had a rock retaining wall installed & Lee made a few adjustments to make it look better. And when I wanted a few adjustments he & the crew made the adjustments without a complaint. I really felt like it was a collaborative effort to bring my yard dream to life.

**★★★★★ — Linda Arthur, June 2019**

> I highly recommend Red Roots Construction - they are thorough, professional and they care about their customers. They focus on service and communication and they listen to your concerns. I had Red Roots do a remodel on my guest room and office - adding a walk-in closet and bathroom. This was my first remodel experience and it went very well. They talk to you about every stage of the project so there are no surprises. I had a vision in my mind of how the remodel would look - the finished project exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to use Red Roots again.

**★★★★★ — Karen Aitken and Associates, Dec. 2018**

> I give Red Roots Landscape Company my highest recommendation for your construction project. For over twenty five years our landscape architecture firm, Karen Aitken & Associates, has collaborated with Guillermo Banuelos and his construction company, creating gardens throughout Northern California. You will find his team to be exceptionally knowledgable and professional. They excel in their communication with clients, always striving to ensure a pleasant construction process for all, along with creating a beautiful finished product.

> I had Rod Roots do my landscaping for my newly constructed home and they did a superb job! The fellows that worked daily were on time, neat, reliable and kind. The management and administrative staff were high on customer service and satisfaction. They generated scale plans and worked with me on the cost by doing the work in phases.
>
> I can't say enough, they aren't the cheapest but well worth it.

**★★★★★ — Michael Tsujimoto, Nov. 2018**

> Our home was built in 1966, and still had some of the original hardscape, with each owner before us adding their personal take. Lol! Our project was in our head for several years, and although we knew what we wanted and had funds, we were a little hesitant to proceed. We had several projects done inside our home the last 3 years that had contractor issues, and we were a little gun shy. One day, tripping over cracked patio, and raised pavers, with rotted patio covers and support beams ,I looked Red Roots up. I did consultation with Memo, and just went with it. What I liked is that they have their own crews, they were local, and reviews were good. Other than that, it was gut instinct. We didn't even get another bid. We had Cammie Brown design the back yard project, and proceeded! It was a detailed project that took 3 months. The crews worked every day m-f, 7am-5pm and some saturdays. They faithfully showed up and worked almost non stop. This was though the hot july and August months when sometimes along the side yard the temps reached 115! They were the hardest working men I have ever hired, and we have been here 35 years
> Backyard is normal size for a tract home of its age, but the challenges were many. There were 4 levels including raised deck off dining room with 5 steps landing on a patio, there was a lower side yard, and a raised yard with lawn area. It was like a booby-trapped maze getting from one area to another.
> Incorporationg these four levels into usuable property and providing drainage, with retaining walls, was a challenge. Red Roots was up the job, and although they battled an issue or two, they got it right. The workmen are incredible
>
> I wanted an accessable yard, lots of trees, plants and a riot of color all seasons!! It had to be artistic, with natural landscaping and patio. It had to have a long curvy lawn in back. steps had to look natural and flow, and I was set on ledge stone steps. Most of all it had to have a pond with waterfall. Got ot all now!
>
> Our project included the following . Gutting entire back yard, (save 3 small trees along back fence line.), installing french drains, new lines to sewer, irrigation lines, sprinkler systems for back and front yard, electrical for pond, patio, fan,and landscape lighting. .
> Red Roots built large patio cover off roof line with shingles, matching what we have on our roof. It is a smooth transition from house roof to patio arbor. They supported the arbor with large column supports. They did the most gorgeous curved stone retaining walls (5 of them) that double as seating, they put down a round upper patio from pavers with lawn area. The crowning glory of this project is the recirculating, 800 gallon pond with waterfall. The pond is surrounded by boulders and stones, with one of retaining walls providing seating in front off patio. The pond was designed for a view from both family room, dining and living room, and is surrounded by small Japanese maples, and two planted areas. The lighting in the pond and backyard at night is breathtaking. Each light placed perfectly to guide us at night, and accent the landscaping.
> Red Roots also brought in ledge stone for wide steps from bottom patio to upper level. The pitch at 6" is perfect for me. These are about 1-ton a step, and were hand chisled to exactly fit with each other. One access on each side of yard. Both step areas are flanked by huge boulders. This is the talent and artistry of the men they hire, with direction of the lead men! The ledge stone steps and the curved retaining walls were a feat in themselves. Hundreds of stone pieces were integrated artistically by hand to cover the retaining walls.
> A few extras are the rotating fan in patio, and lighting we can work from a phone., as well as the timer boxes. The guy who did electrocal was great.
> Red roots constructed a side redwood fence with retaining wall as our neighbors yard is higher than ours. I think they dug down several feet to install a retaining wall, before doing fence with triple lattice The fence was quite a surprise. It is more of a masterpiece.
> Red Roots brought in about 20 boulders, 10 trees and about 60 plants. Not including the yards of creek rock and stones for the pond.
> Whew!
> I would like to add that my husband and I are highly demanding of perfection, and can be quite picky and persistant. We will pay what it takes to get there. But getting there might drive workmen and management crazy. Lol! Quality and durability are also a priority. We retired last year. Spend most of our time out back, love to garden and we want everything to last with no problems until the kids inherit it all. I also have a disability balancing so the yard had to be accessable and seniorized. It is now!!
> If I had one complaint it was the mess at times, but one word to project manager or owner and it was cleaned asap.
> We are ecstatic with the results and highly recommend Red Roots. They have many attributes but one thing stands out. The management, employees and customer service. Most of the workers have been there for years, they are all seasoned, qualified for the job and genuinely nice people who go the extra mile to get the job done right, and to the customers satisfaction. The owner and managers are accessible, honest and so knowledgable. Thanks!! We have the living space dreams are made of.

> Such amazing words from amazing clients. It was a pleasure working on your yard.

**★★★★★ — User, Nov. 2018**

> Memo and his team did a great job on our backyard. We had waited 4 long years to get it done. We interviewed over 6 different companies and Memo convinced us that he would work hard to make a wonderful backyard for us with excellent quality.
> It took longer than anticipated, but we also had changes along the way. They gave us advice based on their experience, which helped make our space even better, but also listened to what we wanted. We are extremely picky and want quality work, and Memo worked with us well. I would definitely use them again and have confidence that they stand behind their work. Great job Memo and team!

**Comment from Red Roots Landscape, Inc.:**

> Thank you for the review, it was a pleasure working with you on your project.

**★★★★★ — Denise, Oct. 2018**

> After a yearlong search for the right landscaper that had the ability to design, collaborate and create an incredible space for our family, Red Roots exceeded our expectations. We went into the project with our own vision of what we wanted, and working closely with the incredible team—Guillermo, Lee, and many others—the end result exceeded our expectations. As part of the design process, they asked all the right questions to understand how we wanted to use our outdoor space and what our vision was for the area. We highly recommend Red Roots for both small and large projects! Great to work with and incredibly talented.

**★★★★★ — Joe D, June 2018**

> Red Roots did an exceptional job installing a completely new front yard, back yard, and driveway. This included a large patio trellis, bocce court, lots of paver work, and plants/trees. Everyone I worked with from Red Roots (including office staff, sales, project leader, installers) were top notch professionals that really cared about doing a high quality job, and they succeeded. This review took me a little while to enter, but, it gives me a chance to say that one year after completion the yard still looks awesome.
