## Community Q&A

**Q: Before and After-- Addition Remodel, Fairfax, VA** *(in Before & After)*

This addition in Fairfax,VA looked like a completely different home after the remodel was finished! \#BeforeAndAfter \#remodel \#NorthernVA
If you like the transformation shown, you can see more on our website portfolio here!

A: It doesn't even look like the same house! I love the stone work and front porch. great remodel!

**Q: Huge difference!** *(in Before & After)*

Original white painted cabinets redone in custom deep taupe. Redooring of all cabinets, cabinet modifications for appliances and replacement of upper cabinets which were taken to the ceiling. Shaker style doors with 3" stiles and rails. What a HUGE difference!

A: backsplash really pops against the cabinets. looks great!

**Q: Need help with mirrors above double sink in master bath** *(in Design Dilemma)*

So I recently redid my master bath and in doing so added a dual vanity. The problem is we have a pitched roof so the ability to have two over sink mirror is far more difficult. I decided to go with two over sink yet with one cut to accommodate the angle of the pitched roof. The out come has one vertical rectangle above the left sink and another over the right with the right top corner sliced to accommodate the pitch. Now that they're on the wall I feel like it looks a bit funny. Should I have one center mirror? Circular? Rectangle? I could use some advice.

A: I think one big rectangular piece instead of 2 helps to not focus on the corner where its cut at an angle. I think some extra lighting would also help as the right side of the sink looks darker then the left. The overall color combinations look great though. Its always tougher when the roof gets in the way, but you still have plenty of space there.

**Q: Making an oak kitchen white- Our updated kitchen** *(in Before & After)*

We put in quartzite/granite counters that gave us the look of cararra, we painted the oak cabinets white, put new handles/pulls on the doors and installed a new microwave.

A: great job on the update! The white cabinets with the countertops really pop. I love the skylight too - it makes it look nice and bright.
