My plan was to completely remodel my kitchen. I got a quote from another local kitchen designer to remodel my kitchen. Oakenshield came in slightly under the competitor in terms of price and gave me much nicer cabinets than the competitors offering. I gave Thorin a call and he came down to my house and measured everything. He asked us basic questions on the general layout of how we wanted the kitchen. A few days later we setup an appointment to visit his showroom. During this appointment we were able to pick out the cabinets, flooring, counter top and hardware. He was in constant communication with us and kept us up to date with any deliveries. After another contractor came in to install the cabinets he setup an appointment for the counter top guys to come out and make a template. A few days later they came back to install the counters. During the whole process, I had two minor issues neither of which was Oakenshields fault. It was actually the manufacturer fault. Thorin addressed both issues with the manufacturer and made sure we were happy. All in all, I got a gorgeous kitchen for a fair price from a guy who was a pleasure to do business with. We can't find any reviews on the cabinets, we are hoping we get some reviews of the cabinets on here. We have also looked at Fabuwood, 21st Century and J&K. From my research I believe these are all entry level cabinets, we would like to find a better cabinet but not sure if we can afford them. I want to look at Shiloh, Ultracraft and Bertch, Kraftmade and Diamond but I doubt we can afford them. Any reviews on Mantra and recommendations for lower priced mid grade cabinets would be appreciated. A: Leddy Home Improvements , Must depend where you are located, Mantra and Fabuwood are very similar in cost for me. I have seen a reduction in quality in the past year in many lines, we have been using Fabuwood and Cubitac. **Q: Elmwood Cabinetry Reviews?** *(in Kitchens)* I am considering Elmwood Cabinetry for my kitchen remodel. Has anyone had any recent experience (good or bad) with them? A: You have to understand that this level of cabinet is expensive period. In this class of cabinetry Elmwood is actual priced very well. They definitely lost their traction during covid, but most lines did. There are many analogies I could use here but to keep it simple, you really have to have an understanding of a cabinet companies build quality and the materials / options they offer.
