Led by David Phan, the studio bridges architectural planning, interior design, permitting coordination, and construction collaboration to create homes that feel personal, functional, and refined. David’s work is rooted in client collaboration rather than a fixed signature style. Each project begins with how people live, what they value, and how the home should support them day to day. His projects often balance warm minimalism with historic character, preserving the charm of prewar apartments, brownstones, and older city homes while introducing modern layouts, custom millwork, layered materials, and a calmer sense of flow. ### Services Provided - Architectural Design - Building Design - Home Remodeling - Architectural Drawings - Custom Homes - House Plans - New Home Construction - Home Additions - Home Extensions - Sustainable Design - Kitchen Remodeling - Interior Design ### Areas Served - New York City - Brooklyn - Manhattan - San Francisco ## Business Details | Field | Value | | --- | --- | | Business Name | From David Designs | | Address | Brooklyn, New York 11216, United States | | Phone | (415) 215-8194 | | Website | https://www.fromdaviddesigns.com/ | **Social profiles:** - Facebook — https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61576847596095 - LinkedIn — https://www.linkedin.com/company/from-david-designs?trk=public\_profile\_topcard-current-company - Blog — https://www.fromdaviddesigns.com/ - Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/fromdaviddesigns/ ## Contact - **Houzz profile:** [From David Designs](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/architects-and-building-designers/from-david-designs-pfvwus-pf~1330658096) - **Website:** https://www.fromdaviddesigns.com/ - **Phone:** (415) 215-8194 ## Reviews **Overall rating: 5.0 out of 5 — 8 reviews** *Aspect averages:* - Work Quality: 5.0 - Communication: 5.0 - Value: 5.0 ### All 8 reviews **★★★★★ — Davis Cherry, Aug. 2026** > David created several detailed and different renderings for my new duplex in Brooklyn. It really helped me view the space in a new light and realize new possibilities. He really helped "center" all my ideas into a realistic and fantastic path forward. **Comment from From David Designs:** > Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! It was a pleasure working with you on your Brooklyn duplex and helping bring all of your ideas together into a clear design direction. I’m looking forward to seeing the project continue to take shape! **★★★★★ — Office Reno, Aug. 2026** > David from From David Designs really understood how to incorporate what our office space had as strengths and where there were some opportunities to elevate it. I have an acupuncture office space that was due for some design updates and David helped create a space that balances style with practicality. The ideas he came up with were calm, warm, and inviting which is exactly what I was looking for. He did a great job with also cleverly added some built-in storage that is not only super useful but a design highlight for the space. I definitely recommend him and look forward to working with him more! **Comment from From David Designs:** > It was my pleasure! You take such great care with your patience that I'm happy I get to flip the script and support you and the acupuncture office. Such a treat to balancing the visual character of the space with the practical needs of your day-to-day work. Thoughtful, functional interior design is always the goal, especially for a space that needs to feel welcoming for both clients and the people working there. I’m so glad you’re happy with how it came together, and I’d love to work with you again in the future! **★★★★★ — HU-851031824, July 2026** > David is phenomenal! New York apartments are notorious for lacking space and being outdated and he balanced all those concerns beautifully! He is detail-oriented, empathetic, and really takes the time to understand his clients. > > My living room went from feeling old to a modern space that feels completely transformed. His work feels thoughtful, polished, and almost magical. I definitely recommend From David Designs with help on their residential renovation! **★★★★★ — HU-26694993, July 2026** > We’re in the early design stage of a primary bathroom renovation, and working with David has been a wonderful start. He’s kind, adaptive, encouraging and genuinely respectful of a space I’ve never loved, finding something positive to say about it rather than making me feel bad. He came back quickly with a thoughtful sketch that showed he’d really listened. > What stood out most was how he handled budget. We don’t have endless funds, we have dreams, and David never made us feel small about that — he met us where we are and made it clear he wants to help us make those dreams real. If the design phase is any indication, we’re in exactly the right hands. Highly recommend. **Comment from From David Designs:** > This means so much to read! Thank you! From the get go, I really appreciated how open. thoughtful, and energetic you were about the design and how this renovation represents for your family. It makes the design process all the more special and engaging. Dream client! > > I'm also so glad the initial sketch reflected what you shared with me. I’m genuinely so excited to keep developing the ideas together (and turn a room you’ve never loved into one that feels truly yours)! Thank you for trusting me with it! **★★★★★ — Rohit Prakash, July 2026** > David listened carefully to what we wanted and created a design that is beautiful, practical, and perfect for cooking, storage, and entertaining! We were so fortunate to work with From David Designs on our kitchen renovation. Our old kitchen was cluttered, dysfunctional, and full of wasted space! > > Like any renovation, there were a few challenges, including material delays, but David handled them with clear communication and creative solutions. He stayed proactive, worked well with the contractor, and kept the project moving forward. > > The finished kitchen is warm, polished, and functional. It truly feels like the heart of my home. I would highly recommend David and From David Designs for anyone looking for a residential architect or interior designer for a kitchen renovation or home renovation. I couldn’t be happier with the result! **Comment from From David Designs:** > From the bottom of my heart, thank you Rohit for such a thoughtful review! I’m so glad the new kitchen feels warm, functional, and truly connected to the way you live every day.
