> Laura is an absolute blast to work with. She's a dynamo who pours her creative energy and vast knowledge into her projects. She is collaborative, flexible, and listens closely to her client's preferences and ideas. But, what's also great is that she's a straight shooter and won't hesitate to explain why your crazy idea might not be a good one. This directness is especially valuable during the implementation phase where she is excellent at representing her client's interests and quickly letting a contractor know when they need to raise their game or redo something.

> Our project was a rather large one with a 4 month construction schedule and at least that much time spent in the design phase. As with any endeavor of this magnitude there are complexities that can't all be anticipated in advance. In our case it was poor workmanship from decades-old projects. Laura is an excellent problem solver who tackles challenges head on and she also has a very large rolodex of contractors she has worked with and can call on or refer. These connections allowed us to find a construction company with quick availability which pulled in the project by over half a year (most companies were booked up for at least 9 months but with her connections we were able to quickly jump on an opportunity where one of them had a cancellation.)

This project took awhile due to covid and a change in contractors but we could not be happier with the outcome!!  Laura stuck with us and was instrumental in finding our second contractor.  Having never done an outdoor project of this size Laura walked us through each and every step, from initial drawings to getting those last plants in the right spot!  Here work, and work ethic are excellent.  She happily fielded all questions, there were many, and helped coordinate with the contractor.

> I can't say enough good things about Laura -- she's absolutely first-rate.  We hired her to help us reconfigure and re-do a backyard that was crowded by large planting beds and a poorly-placed palm tree. She worked with us for months, putting up kindly with our constantly evolving ideas and tastes, while gently pushing us forward.  Laura created a design that eliminated our over-sized planting beds and replaced them with beautiful container planters she designed and strategically placed to re-capture space, while also catching the eye immediately.  She also replaced our large palm tree with two smaller, perfectly placed palms, and created an entirely new configuration for our space, which includes a great built-in bench and concrete countertop/bar area.  Laura pulled together a number of different surfaces and textures into a cohesive whole, including concrete (aggregate and brushed), turf, river rock, composite decking, evergreen plants, perennials, palm trees, and flowers--wow!  The end result is fantastic -- Laura's design nearly doubled our usable space, and at the same time made it much more beautiful.  She's professional, diligent, deeply knowledgeable, creative, determined, and also a pleasure to work with. We would absolutely work with Laura again without any hesitation. She's great!
