**★★★★★ — Hobbs-Care, April 2016**

> I have worked with Sean on several projects and have nothing but glowing things to say about him and his firm. As a General Contractor you depend on having a complete vision for a project and Sean's drawings are always spot on. As a homeowner this is equally as important, as having detailed drawings limit change orders and project delays.
>
> I look forward to working with Sean again in the very near future.

**★★★★★ — LoParco Associates, Inc., April 2016**

> Our Company has worked on and with Sean and his firm on several projects!
>
> We are currently involved in a large scale renovation in Fairfield County CT that has a number of variables; calling this Project challenging would be an understatement. Time constraints are chief among the variables, and Sean has helped us with critical decisions in order to meet certain Client expectations.
>
> His architectural plans are concise, well thought out and limit questions that may come up in the bidding process.
>
> As a General Contractor, we can't speak more highly enough about Sean and Mockler, Taylor.

> As a professional interior designer I have had the pleasure of working with Mockler Taylor Architects on several of their residential projects. Sean is a gifted architect, extremely creative and knowledgeable, with great vision. From the conceptual design phase, to drawings & specifications, through project supervision until completion, Sean's level of professionalism is admirable. He welcomes a collaborative exchange and is successful at giving his clients what they are looking for. He is respectful of all those involved in his projects and the results are a clear indication of his ability to get the best out of the team.
> Our experiences working with Mockler Taylor have been most rewarding. They are an exceptional reliable firm and I highly recommend them.

> Mocker Taylor helped us with a fairly big, multistory addition to our house. The project was a pretty complicated because our house sits on a hilly site by a wide river (wetlands). We were very happy with the creative solutions that Mocker Taylor provided and the building process was smooth thanks to their detailed drawings and oversight. I would absolutely use them again and I highly recommend them!

> We hired Mockler Taylor to help us modernize our 1960s colonial. We needed more space on the bedroom level of our home, and decided to build a master bedroom suite over our existing garage. We also did a full kitchen renovation and made numerous updates throughout the house to make sure that the old part of the house looked up to date. Sean Taylor designed beautiful cabinetry that we implemented in the mudroom, all bedrooms, and living areas. The firm worked so well with our general contractor which made the construction process very smooth. Both Sean and Lisa have phenomenal taste so rest assured that your dreams will be realized. Whatever the scope of your project, Mockler Taylor will deliver.

> Mockler Taylor is a fantastic Architecture firm. We are General Contractors and have worked with Mockler Taylor on multiple projects. Both Sean Taylor and Lisa Mockler provide excellent plans to us the builders as well as inform and review with the clients through every step of the construction process.
>
> It has been a pleasure and privelge to work with the firm. They are on time with their plans, conduct thorough site meetings, and are quick to adapt to any request the clients ask of them.
>
> We enjoy our working relationship and highly recomend Mockler Taylor as one a premier luxury design firm in the area.

> Mockler Taylor Architects has been my go to Architectural Firm for the past 15 years. Why? First, I did my homework. I exhaustively interviewed, in person, many Architectural firms (big and small), designers, builders and single practitioner Architects from Westchester County and Lower Fairfield County and ended up picking Lisa and Sean because of their quiet confidence and professional demeanor. Their standard portfolio strengths are: Solid book of business in scope, size and quality of projects, discerning decisions in scale and taste, a surrounding mix of trusted and respected builders, and associated trades people underscoring the feeling we are lucky to be working with these people. Sean and Lisa pay special attention to detail and understand when and how to apply the right pressures to achieve any shared goal. The objectives of any project are usually: deliver on time and on (or near) budget with as little aggravation as possible - This is the team that can get it done. They make the process enjoyable in real-time, less stressful thru out and fondly memorable years later. Having an understanding of things like: Neighbors, Town Politics, P&Z issues and other underlying elements that come up during a design and build process are things in their wheelhouse – Often folks representing you in this field will need to possess the right temperament and slight of hand to properly navigate complicated and perhaps sensitive issues at any given time with a myriad of difficult people. Sean and Lisa have always delivered in spades. I have challenged them with several projects over the years and have noted them below - 4 in total awarded Mockler Taylor commissions (1 Residential & 3 Commercial). Each different, unique and all successful in their own right. I would without hesitation recommend working with this firm and consistently do so any day someone asks “Do you know any good firms or could you recommend any good Architects”? Mockler Taylor is at the VERY TOP of this list. \[ 1. 88 Orchard Street - Cos Cob, CT 2. 701 West Putnam Avenue - Greenwich, CT 3. 205 Railroad Avenue - Greenwich, CT 4. 134-Charles Street - Greenwich Village, New York City\] By: Phil McIntyre, CEO TheBrandGallery.com

## Community Q&A

**Q: what type of roof shingles are these?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Roof shingles?

A: These are Western Red Cedar shingles (Resawn and Rebutted).

**Q: Shingles** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi! What is the exposure of the cedar shingles?

A: I believe that it is 5 1/2" to the weather.

**Q: What did you use for the decking?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I noticed the decking material is very close to the pool. Did you use wood or is this some type of composite? I would like to use the same effect for our pool but am concerned about wood.

A: Sorry for the late reply. But, yes, it is cedar and it goes right up to the edge of the bluestone coping.

**Q: Work surface** *(in Photo Questions)*

What worksurface is used here please?

Thanks
Hannah

A: The Island is Calacatta Marble with a custom built up edge profile. The counter is 3cm thick with a 3cm built up edge. The perimeter countertops are 3cm thick Seagrass Limestone.

**Q: window color** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you please tell me who makes the windows and what color was used? Thanks so much!

A: This project used Marvin Windows and Doors. They are all wood windows, so you can choose any paint color you wish. We did several samples on site and, I believe, we chose Benjamin Moore White Dove. But, if you go with a painted window, you should test several paint color samples along side your siding color. This is especially true with white, which will look different in different lighting conditions and geographical locations. Good luck.

**Q: What is the size of the windows?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Sorry for the late reply, but the windows flanking the range are 2 ft wide x 4 ft tall with an 18" tall transom above. Transom is directly mulled to the window.
