> Based on the recommendation of a neighbor we contracted with Joe Gregory to manage the major renovation of our home in 2014/15.  The components of our extensive project included the complete gutting of the existing kitchen, media room, guest bath, and exterior multilevel deck, plus selective demolition in the master bath.

> Joe Gregory and his subcontractors have been superlative in their renovation end repair work in our house.  They renovated our guest bathroom between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2014, gutting the room and installing a new tub, commode, lights, floor and bath tiles, a recessed niche in the bath wall, bath accessories, granite vanity top, and reusing only the vanity at our request.  Joe met our very tight timeframe for our company arriving just before Christmas.  Joe’s coordination with his subcontractors and with us was excellent and the work was executed on his coordinated schedule.  Everybody who worked on the project followed Joe’s guidance, keeping the jobsite, in the core of our home, clean and organized and insured that we were warned in advance of any unusual noise or intrusive work.  We were very pleased with the overall effort, and called him in October 2015 when water began seeping onto the bedroom ceiling from a roof failure at the adjacent chimney.  He removed interior wall surfaces and diagnosed the failure, then coordinated roofing and masonry subcontractors to correct the failure.  When the corrections were made, he returned to finish the ceiling and wall repairs.  We have made initial contact for Joe Gregory to renovate our master bathroom in the near future.

**Q: I am building a modern interior carraige home what type of interior doors and woodwork should I use?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have noticed no trim in very modern homes but may want something.  I am also curious about trim around open doorframes.

A: I just finished a project with a contemporary interior (the wife is an architect), and we used all square edged casings and baseboards (no shoe molding).
