At Keely Designs, we think your home should be inspired by you–your personal style, your functionality needs, your dreams for your spaces. That’s why we choose not to have our own signature style. Instead of our ‘style’ it’s all about taking what you love and putting it through our expert lens to create a clean, fresh version of your aesthetic. We listen, care, prioritize, and expertly and efficiently handle every aspect of your project so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

I do this work because I know how much a beautiful, functional home can transform my clients’ everyday lives.

It’s about ease of living: more peaceful mornings, hassle-free meals, and spaces that let you unwind and focus on the people in your home instead of worrying about how your home looks and feels.

I’m not the kind of designer who’s going to push my own personal style on my clients. I don’t do cookie cutter designs. The joy for me is in taking each clients’ aesthetic and elevating it into a unique design that feels personal to them. With me, we use their antiques and inherited treasures. I won’t tell anyone they have to throw away something they love. It’s something I’m completely committed to and uncompromising about.

Working primarily on renovation projects lets me use my space planning and problem solving talents almost daily. Creating solutions for my clients’ design conundrums and handling the curve balls that come up in their projects might sound like a nightmare to some, but it’s a dream for me. I love standing in the gap for my clients and making it all feel easy and effortless on their end.

I believe in being intentional with every decision I make for my clients’ projects. Each choice builds on the last to bring to life the spaces we’re looking to achieve. I believe the two most important keys to a successful design project are trust and communication between me and my clients. The trust builds more and more over time but I set the tone for open, proactive communication right out of the gate. I believe that (in addition to a great design) my clients deserve to be listened to by their designer, to experience a process that feels consistent in terms of meetings and other touchpoints, and maybe most importantly, to enjoy themselves along the way because designing your dream spaces can and should be exciting!

> We hired Keely to redo our entire downstairs. This included flooring, paint, finishes, creating additional storage space under our stairs, building a china cabinet into our dining room, redesigning our kitchen and designing a beautiful builtin mantle and entertainment center. Her kitchen redesign added so much more functional space that we never could have envisioned. We found working with Keely to be a gratifying and collaborative experience. She really took what she considered to be our style and found paint colors, finishes, furniture pieces, rugs, and lighting that have come together to create a beautiful cohesive space. If there was a rare issue with a subcontractor used - Keely stepped in and made sure that everything was done in a timely manner to her and our expectations. We now have a beautiful new kitchen, family room, living room, dining room, china cabinet, staircase, powder room, creative space under our stairs, mantle and media space. We are so happy with Keely's work and get to live in a space that makes us smile everyday! Keely created a space that we couldn't imagine on our own.

> Keely worked with us on a partial update to our kitchen (cabinets, paint, window coverings, appliances) and on updating window coverings in other rooms (family room, dining room, living room, and guest bedroom). Her input was instrumental in helping us choose the best colors (for walls and cabinets) and the best options for window coverings. She was very knowledgeable and patient, and she definitely alleviated my anxiety about whether our choices would result in the outcome we wanted. We experienced ongoing errors with one of the vendors, and it took many months and multiple corrections to complete the project. Keely hung in there with it and advocated for us until the project was completed. I would not have felt comfortable taking on these projects without imput from a design expert and am so glad Keely was involved.

> I am returning to my seventy’s era 1500 square foot home after having rented it for 17 years. It needed a major redesign and upgrade. One could ask if hiring a designer is worth the cost and I would say it that designer is Keely, absolutely. Living outside the area, I knew that I would need a designer who would be my eyes and ears and who I could trust to make sure that everything was moving forward correctly. When I contacted her, Keely was extremely professional, explaining what she does, the steps in her process, and importantly, how she sets her fees and what she provides for that fee. None of the other designers I spoke to explained their process or their cost, with that level of specificity. She is not only incredibly professional and detailed, but also nice, down-to-earth, practical and very easy to work with. She listens to what you want and then designs with your vision in mind. The process is very collaborative. We walked the space and talked walls and doorways; considered colors and materials and how I wanted the rooms to look and feel, how I would be using them. We worked together on the design. Using zoom and a 3D application Keely built those thoughts and ideas into her plans, tweaking it until she had room designs that I wanted to live in. While I spent a lot of time looking at websites and sharing things I liked, Keely was really digging in, sending me additional options and sharing design sites I never could have found on my own. I knew I didn’t have the time or energy (or frankly interest) to review hundreds of counter handles. Keely found me 5 to choose from. I could manage that. Same with faucets, light fixtures, bathroom mirrors, door handles, so many small details and Keely was on top of all of them. White paint. Who knew there were so many choices, and Keely was quite keen to get the exact right white.
> I found out that is what a designer will do for you. While the big stuff is what you hire them for, it’s all the little details that ultimately should make them worth their fee. Keely has made the process easy and fun. She has provided the peace of mind that my project is in good hands and the final product 10x better than what I could have imagined.

> Our 30-year-old home needed upgrading and we decided to start by re-modeling our three bathrooms. However, neither my wife nor I have expertise in this area. Re-modeling is expensive so it's important not to make design mistakes. You want to be happy with the results after you've spent all that money. A neighbor mentioned that she had used Keely Brewer Interior Design for a kitchen remodel and raved about Keely. We are thrilled with the results as well. Keely's designs for our three bathrooms are creative and beautiful. My wife and I could have never created these designs on our own. Keely's fees are reasonable and were well worth the expense for us. We recommended Keely to a friend of ours and they are thrilled with the results as well. Our neighbor that recommended Keely is using Keely again for a master bath remodel.
>
> Keely is easy to work with, listens, and stands behind her work. I highly recommend Keely Brewer Interior Design.

**★★★★★ — New Kitchen Project, Sept. 2024**

> We've wanted to remodel our kitchen and remove a wall for a long time. Keely came recommended by some friends. She was great from start to stop. Her design was exactly what we were looking for. Her team was awesome. Attention to details really made a difference in how it all turned out. Our Kitchen turned out so beautiful, so much space and such a joy to cook in. It's hard to believe it's the same house. The new vinyl plank flooring, updated cabinets throughout the house and updated light fixtures and LED lighting really transformed the whole house from dark tuscan feel to light, modern and the coastal California look we wanted.
> She listened to our ideas, made suggestions, and brought samples for us to see, which was very important for us. We had weekly meetings during construction, and they were very helpful. She monitored the progress of the project and helped us when we made changes to our project . She and her team helped us navigate the architectural, engineering, and permitting process that was needed for the project. Thank you Keely for an excellent job. We highly recommend you to anyone remodeling their home

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> This was a wonderful project. I was very proud of our results. The clients were great to work with and my team as always did a terrific job.

**★★★★★ — Wayne Foss, Nov. 2022**

> Keely Brewer has been a joy to work with during four different remodeling projects (kitchen/family room, laundry room, master bedroom/bathroom and garage). She listened to our ideas with an open mind, and if she believed there was a better alternative offered another option for us to consider.
>
> Keely did “leg work” for us by bringing samples to our home or meeting us at various material suppliers. This attention to detail helped us make good decisions on each project. She had a wide variety of resources available from which to select materials for our projects.
>
> She keeps current by keeping up to date on current trends and attends continuing education offerings. One of her areas of expertise is kitchen renovations in which she has specialized for 10 years. Keely has the skill to create a computer drawing as she designed a media cabinet for us and then worked closely with the custom cabinet maker to see her vision come to life. We strongly recommend Keely for any remodeling project.

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> Wayne and Brenda were a joy to work with. They were always kind and appreciated my insights. I will miss meeting and getting to see each other on a regular basis during our four projects.

**★★★★★ — Maddie, Oct. 2022**

> When it was time to update our kitchen we met with Keely Brewer. Keely did the complete redesign and structural planning for our kitchen and house remodel. Our kitchen remodel also included window replacements, stucco replacement, wood floor refinishing, new carpet, paint and window coverings. Keely brought many choices for cabinets, countertops, lighting, window covering, paint, hardware pulls and much more. Keely communicated frequently about design and material issues and took us to various vendors to review their products. Keely took the time to discuss design options and truly understand our design preferences without judgment. Keely understands design not just for aesthetic, but more importantly for function. The most significant improvement was the redesign of our kitchen window. She worked with the general contractor and various speciality craftsmen to complete our remodel with the utmost attention to detail. She was always present to discuss each phase of the project with various craftsmen as they began, and finished their work. She is pleasant and fun to work with. We enjoyed her design process so much we hired Keely to redesign our primary bathroom.

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> Thank you for the wonderful review. You were wonderful to work with and look forward to the next project.

**★★★★★ — Margo Smalley, Nov. 2021**

> Keely Brewer has been a friend of mine for many years. When the opportunity arose to make some changes to my home, she was the first person I thought of for guidance. Initially we discussed my hopes for what I had in mind, and she provided several wonderful options from which to choose. Because my remodel took place during Covid, it was a concern that I would need to visit many different locations to find all the materials needed for flooring, cabinets, tile, countertops, lighting, doors, appliances, upholstery, and assorted fixtures. The list became overwhelming at times, but Keely took me through the process step by step. She was able to minimize the trips to vendors, and keep the project moving in a timely manner. Her knowledge and expertise created a sense of comfort each step of the way. Every contractor was professional and mindful of working carefully in my home. Frequently, when a new contractor began their work, they would comment on the quality of the work that had previously been done. That always reaffirmed my decision to choose Keely for my design consultant. My home is now a lovely and welcoming space for me to enjoy with my family and friends.

**★★★★★ — Claire Ratajczak, Oct. 2021**

> After 20 years we were ready to remodel our kitchen/great room, living dining, downstairs bedroom and bath, entry and staircase. We began with flooring and that in itself was a difficult decision. I inquired about Desighner referrals and received excellent recommendations about Keely Brewer. We met with Keely and she returned to us a pile of ideas. She chose options for cabinets, quartz countertops, island ideas, molding/Doors, lighting/window coverings and most importantly paint colors throughout. Needless to say her choices were phenomenal and our downstairs is just about finished. Thanks to Keely everything looks gorgeous, better than an HG TV makeover! We highly recommend a great designer who is prompt, patient with a fun loving personality! We were so happy with the downstairs she’s going to do our upstairs to! Thank you Keely Brewer !

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> Thank you Claire. You and Greg are the ideal client. You were enthusiastic and appreciated my ideas. I feel honored that I am a part of your house remodel that your beautiful family will enjoy for years.

**★★★★★ — Mary Trotta, Sept. 2020**

> after a significant flood in my living room,I called Keely because she had helped me in the past.ThT to me is the highest recommendation. There were complications and she was professional, calm and had a lot of solutions

**★★★★★ — Jan Cormany, May 2020**

> Keely is a great communicator and listens to what is most important to you. This helped me so much with a major interior painting project where we had to find a way to update a slate and travertine bathroom without a major remodel. She has a great eye for color and has many creative ideas while still being practical to suit your needs. Our project came out wonderful and we feel everything looks fresh and updated.

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> Jan was very clear about her gaols and vision for her project. This made communication easy. I am very happy that Jan and Scott are pleased with the results.

**★★★★★ — Gladys Avilez, April 2020**

> I was looking for help during my renovation of my entire house colors, tiles, furnishing, fixtures etc. I hired Keely and she to took my project and flew with it. My experience working with Keely was great. She is professional, very dedicated, she makes you feel there is no other customer than just you, her full attention. Very friendly, lovable she makes you feel like you are family. She helps with decisions like if this is her own home nothing better than the best. I gave her a deadline and she was a week early. I recommend Keely 100% with her great taste and patience.

**★★★★★ — Jim McFaul, April 2020**

> Keely was our interior designer when we recently remodeled our kitchen. She was always there when we needed help and we needed a lot. After a short time, she figured out what we liked and what we should check out. The results are a kitchen that is three times the size of the original and efficient to work in. The kitchen is now rectangular, while the original was trapezoidal. Geometry may be fun, but not functional. My wife got her mega island and plenty of storage area. The final design fits in well with the rest of the house. Fortunately,Keely had thoughts and ideas that seem to make the remodeled area work and flow efficiently.
> Thanks you, Keely, for your help and much needed assistance. You made our remodel easy for us and the results were so much better than we could ever have imagined. We love our kitchen!

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> Jim and Janice are a wonderful couple. We had a lot of fun. My goal is to give my clients rooms and spaces they love for many years to come. I'm so glad that they are pleased. The construction phase was pleasant, on time and clean because of Ryan and his team at Quality Construction Solutions in Vista. Their constant attention to detail keeps the projects moving smoothly.

**★★★★★ — Diana Procter, Feb. 2019**

> We have been working with Keely Brewer for over a year now on a house remodel/ redecorate. Keely helped our kitchen, bath designer with tile and paint coordination which has turned out great. Keely drew up some furniture placement designs for our rooms and then helped steer us to furniture stores. She has been extremely helpful with choosing rugs ,sofas and recliners that worked out very well. She has also helped design our outdoor spaces . Keely is very easy going and we changed our minds multiple times which never bothered her. She is great about sending ideas that we might like and we are now working on window coverings. We highly recommend Keely Brewer Interior Design!

**★★★★★ — CAROLYNNE ARENS, Nov. 2018**

> Keely came highly recommended to me when I needed help staging my home.
> We went through my home room by room and with Keely's help I discovered just how important accessories like quilts, pillows and lamps etc are to making rooms pop.
> My home was transformed with the changes we made. I will definitely work with Keely in our next home.

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> Carolynne was a pleasure to meet and to work with. She was ver receptive to my ideas.

**★★★★★ — Susan Rohrman, Oct. 2018**

> We needed to find a great designer who could transform our incredibly ugly, claustrophobic "new" home into a clean, contemporary showcase that met our needs AND was a pleasure to live in. This meant big work like opening up the floor plan with a new kitchen and three new bathrooms plus all new wall colors, floors, lighting fixtures and much more. Having been through major home remodels before, we were anxious about getting the right designer. We selected Keely because we thought that with her extensive expertise and demonstrated creativity, she could transform our ideas into an amazing result. We feel so grateful to have picked her! Keely is a phenomenal designer, collaborative communicator and so easy to work with. The new kitchen and family room has opened up our home with light and space. It is the perfect gathering space—the heart of our home. Keely’s resources are unbelievably extensive. Her energy in searching for finishes that were a right fit was inexhaustible. Keely was always sensitive to our budget—a real concern in such a large project. I really appreciated that she could search out elements that were incredible values and extended our aesthetic. She was always great at advising us which elements to prioritize, and she was never too pushy with her own opinions on style - it was clear she was doing this for us, not her. A big plus was that she worked incredibly well with our contractor. She was always an integral part of the build team, helping to advance the project. When I think of the hundreds of decisions we made with Keely guiding us, I know that we could not have obtained a better overall result. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Keely!

**★★★★★ — Kathy Toulon, May 2018**

> We purchased a home that needed to be completely updated....every surface from floors to counter tops to window treatments to appliances to paint. Keely guided us through the project with patience, expertise, and a great eye for design......all while on a tight timeframe and budget.
>
> She is extremely conscientious, organized and listens. Our home was transformed from the 1980's to the present. We couldn't be more happy with the results and would highly recommend Keely to take on any project big or small!

**★★★★★ — Dan Owen, Feb. 2018**

> As a contractor I look to work with designers that can make my job easier and help the client not only with a design but to select materials - which can be difficult and time consuming. Keely exceeded my expectations. She listened to both the client and myself and that makes it a pleasure. She gives the client guidance and confidence in their material selections. That is a real time saver as a contractor. Keely is honest and upfront with her expectations to meet the clients needs while understand the construction requirements. I look forward to working with Keely in the future.

**★★★★★ — Linda Gibney, Jan. 2018**

> Keely was an integral resource and influence for the remodel of our master bed and bathroom. Previous to this project, she did an excellent job updating our living, dining, family, and guest bedrooms with new draperies, furniture, and fabric to reupholster our furniture.
> Keely designed the customized built in cabinets and bookshelves for our recent master bed / bathroom project - right down to the decorative cabinet hardware. She designed an exquisite and cost-saving headboard for our master bedroom's king size bed. She also designed my built in make-up vanity and the exterior for our wood paneled fireplace in our master bathroom.
> Keely collaborated in the the custom design for the tile in our bathroom floor and our walk through shower - and came up with the perfect complimentary tile for the inside wall of our shower .
> Keely consulted on the selection and placement of our bathroom lighting fixtures and mirrors. She also discovered the perfect quality consignment chair to be reupholstered for our bedroom sitting area.
> Working with Keely is fun, inspiring, and so enjoyable because she has such a respect for her client's particular taste and design preferences as well as a respect for the practical amenities a client wishes to incorporate in their overall project design. My husband and I highly recommend Keely Brewer as an excellent interior designer !

**★★★★★ — judyblack42, Jan. 2018**

> Keely Brewer helped me decorate my "downsized" home in an over 55 community. She started with hiring a art installing company whose two employees did a great job with my very large and heavy pictures. Keely also coordinated decorating several of my high niches and used items I had in my home.
> I had a closet in one room that I wanted to use as an office and Keely prepared a drawing of what the "computer station" should look like. It turned out perfect.
> She and her workroom made a comforter, coordinating pillow, a kitchen valance and cushions.
> Keely gave me positive direction in choices of too many things to mention, but she was a joy to work with and her main goal is for you, the customer, to be happy. Judy Black

**★★★★★ — Mary Anne Herman, Jan. 2018**

> There are certain people that you feel comfortable with the first time you meet them. That's Keely, she is helpful, listens to what you are trying to achieve. Confirms you are going the right way, recommend alternate solutions and is very respectful to your budget and your vision.
> My project was update a 32 year old kitchen, I was not changing the footprint of the kitchen rather updating to a more modern style. She assured me that I was going the right way and gave me the assurance I need to proceed with the project.
> Kitchen updates are scare but with Keely help I know I will be happy with the outcome.

**★★★★★ — Jean Owen, Dec. 2017**

> My association with Keely began with my son, who was employed as a contractor with one of Keely's clients. We met Keely as we began a master bath and bedroom remodel. She has enthusiasm and knowledge that not only benefited my decisions but understood and listened to my thoughts about the project. I have recommended her to others. Her easy manner makes it a delight and takes the stress out of the project.

**★★★★★ — Tim Daniel, Sept. 2017**

> As a tile and stone contractor that specializes in extremely detailed and high-end work, I know how crucial an interior designer can be on a project. Keely worked with my crew and I on a master bath remodel in Encinitas and I couldn't recommend her more highly. Here are a few things that come to mind upon completion:
> \- Keely had an excellent grasp of the materials we were using
> \- she also had a very detailed yet realistic vision of what the project's ideal outcome could be
> \- Drawings! Her drawings were meticulous. This is a big piece of the puzzle for me as an installer. If we can refer to specific, well-thought-out, detailed drawings, the project almost always goes smoothly
> \- Attitude! She was fantastic and fun to work with; a really great, positive vibe and personality

**★★★★★ — MJ King, Aug. 2017**

> My experience with Keely started with a paint consultation, simple yet challenging in a large space with ever changing light. She hit an "out of the ballpark" homerun with her surprising suggestions.
> Years later I came back to Keely with a pitch, would she consider managing a top to bottom remodel? Keely stepped up and has provided me with a very enjoyable space that I never could have imagined. I lived in Chicago the entire time she very capably worked her magic.
> Exceptional is the word I would use to describe Keely and I would recommend her without hesitation. Thoughtful, Professional and Insightful, she brings it all to the table. You can rely on her knowledge to guide you accordingly regarding budget and those "out of the box" ideas. She shows passion with her love of fabrics and she is a joy to work with.
> I look forward to our next project!

**★★★★★ — Cabinets by Design, June 2016**

> As a respected Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer, I choose very carefully with whom I partner with and refer to. When I have a client that asks me for help with window treatments, furniture, cushions, reupholstering or anything else out of the realm of my expertise, I call Keely. I can't say enough good things about her. Besides her design talents, she is responsive, dependable and insightful. Keely is probably the sweetest, thoughtful and honest person I know.

**★★★★★ — Cristine Clark, June 2016**

> Keely did an amazing job with recreating our dining room. My old set from 1989 sat 10 very tightly and I wanted to seat 12. This was a challenge with the length of my room and she solved it beautifully. . Not only did she pay attention to our taste and what we wanted to achieve, but she found a perfect table. It was wide enough to accommodate 2 on each end. She then designed gorgeous benches which all my guests fight to get to sit as a couple in the end seats. Keely then suggested finishing paint colors and accessories , some from items we already had, and it all blended well. She turned a rather boring and dated formal dining room into a Tuscan Statement. It was painless and I cannot recommend her more.

**★★★★★ — HU-119497, May 2016**

> My husband and I recently bought our first home that came with mismatching window treatments throughout the house. We wanted to tie the house together with matching window treatment but weren't sure where to start, especially since some of our windows are almost 30ft high. We wanted something clean and polished, that would last and be easy to maintain. Keely came up with a perfect solution, white vinyl shutters. She coordinated the measurements, ordering, and installation. The entire process was simple and stress free for us. She is fun to work with, energetic, and full of creative ideas. We love our new shutters and will continue to work with Keely to finish up the rest of our house. I would definitely recommend her services to other home owners!

**★★★★★ — holly\_pharr, March 2016**

> Keely provided an amazing redesign for my kitchen with high attention to my budget. I just purchased a very small home that desperately needed a fix in the kitchen. The layout is small and didn't leave me with any ideas for improvement. With collaboration between myself, Keely, and her favorite cabinet maker, I now have a beautiful kitchen that matches the style of my home and provides ample srtorage and a layout that transformed the space entirely

**Comment from Keely Brewer Interior Design:**

> This kitchen presented my cabinet maker and myself with a challenge. I am proud to say that we built a beautiful, stylish, user friendly kitchen full of style on a budget.

**★★★★★ — linscheidjudy, Nov. 2015**

> Keely came to my house and brought shutter samples for me to see before choosing a shutter for our home. Then she arranged for the installer to come and measure the Windows.
>
> She emailed a proposal and once we approved it, she made arrangements to have the shutters installed. The installers did it in a few hours.
>
> We are pleased with what the shutters have brought to our home.
>
> Keely was very professional and courteous and easy to work with. The installer was equal in his professionalism and expertise. The cost was competitive, even better, than the major home improvement retailers. I know this because I compared prices to 3-day blinds as well as Budget Blinds and Home Depot.
>
> I would recommend Keely Brewer for any of your design or remodel needs, no matter how large or small.

> When we considered redoing our master bath, Keely Brewer was recommended by a friend who had successfully completed a major project with her. I found Keely very personable, easy to work with and responsive to my viewpoint, she quickly got a real feel for my style preferences. Her ideas were creative and incorporated my desires for the bathroom with the possibilities of the space. She coordinated and worked with the contractor to keep the project moving to completion and on budget. We were very satisfied and are now working on a guest bath renovation with Keely.

> I have worked with other designers for projects in my home but not with the level of collaboration, cooperation, and consideration I experienced with Keely. We were working together to remodel my 1985 kitchen. Once we got a design concept we both liked, Keely put together the plans, recommended a contractor and, when appropriate, hired subcontractors. I am so pleased with my new kitchen and, in addition to it being beautiful, it's a pleasure to use. I like to cook and bake so having an efficient workspace is really important to me. I now have that and so much more and couldn't be happier.
> Part of the project requires the removal of one of the kitchen walls opening up the space, visually, to the great room and study beyond. Kelly helped coordinate flooring, paint color and window treatments. She worked with the cabinet maker to translate my vision for bookcases and fireplace surround into something that I think is truly beautiful.

> Keely Brewer was referred to us by a trusted contact. My initial project was a bed crown, which she helped create/design/install, and it turned out beautifully! So much so, that we decided to use her for additional interior and remodel projects, our kitchen in particular. Kitchen redesigns are her specialty, and suffice to say, she did a tremendous job and gave us exactly what we wanted. Working with Keely has been a pleasure--she's personable and very accommodating, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable...and has turned into a good friend as well. She is reliable and sees all her projects through from start to finish, and beyond! Keely comes highly recommended, and can successfully handle any design challenge and exceed your expectations!
