> The design process can be time consuming but with Erin's architectural team and portfolio of builders we were lucky to have multiple bids from the best contractors in Annapolis.    2 years later we are finally enjoying the home and an editor just called as they want to get it published in a national magazine or the Washington Post.     Amazing project management to couple with her creative skills.   We now will use her at our Florida property.

> “Oh, she didn’t try." That’s what our realtor said when she saw our condo. I don’t know whether Erin Paige Pitts didn’t try or didn’t succeed in creating the colorful, family-friendly design we asked for, but I can’t recommend her work. I don’t feel that our tastes or family’s needs were part of the calculus (she told us to donate ALL our furniture to Habitat for Humanity). She rushed us through the design process, told us some of our choices were unsophisticated, and didn’t problem-solve to get us to a good place. In our work w/ Erin, we rarely felt heard or respected; we often felt criticized and belittled.

> Some of the finishings and furnishings Erin suggested don’t work for our condo. 4 light fixtures wouldn’t work w/ our ceiling heights, 2 couches wouldn’t fit through the doorways or halls, the kitchen table was too big, and all the finishing choices (tile, carpets, countertops) were over our budget by between 50% and 350%. When selections didn’t work, we looked for substitutions ourselves.

> The purchase list Erin sent was full of errors in costs, counts, and sizes. Erin ordered twice the amount of needed wallpaper for one room, 50% more curtain fabric for another, side and coffee tables in different finishes, and one wallpaper w/ a pattern too small for the room. Many of the things she ordered don’t work w/ the colors and styles of existing cabinets and tile. We purchased items that are more expensive than we need (e.g., our dining chairs cost $12,000 and our bedspread and pillows cost $4500).

> Our contract w/ Erin put all the risk on us. We paid $30,000 for a design concept w/ no reference to customer satisfaction. If we didn’t like the ideas, Erin got the full fee. She could bill us for her attorney costs if we contested. There were many additional charges--a 20% mark-up on materials, a 15% fee on orders from other providers, high storage fees, and $175 hourly rate for her work after the initial concept. We regret signing a contract with Erin Paige Pitts.

Erin has a great architectural sensibility setting her apart from many interior designers. While she loves the coastal style, she excels in all levels of design from coastal casual to edgy modern. Her designs are soothing, textural, clean and uncluttered. We worked so well together we became great friends. The ultimate flattery is when she asked me to participate in the design of her personal Florida getaway home! That is an honor. I would highly recommend Erin for your projects!
