> Sometimes I can decide what works well in my home on my own, but other times I’ve needed creative ideas and finishing touches from a professional. That is when I have called Simone, from the Collective Interior, to help me out. From finding the perfect pillows to round out my couches and create a cohesive living room space to guiding me with tiles and finishes for my bathroom, Simone always knows how to achieve the vibe I am going for. When I changed my mind about a decision, Simone quickly used her creative genius and pivoted the direction of the project to accommodate my style and preferences. Whether you are finishing or re-imagining a space, the Collective Interior will listen to your ideas, work side by side within your style and budget and cultivate a beautiful finished project.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Staining white oak floors gray** *(in Flooring)*

We are trying to get a true gray (on the lighter side) stain on our new white oak floors. Every mix of stain the flooring company has given us is too brown. Most of the mixes are ebony and white, and we also asked them to try out pickled oak and classic gray. The stain on the wood looks decent (still not the look we want, but acceptable), and then they put on the Bona HD water based poly and it turns everything way too brown. Can anyone help us with a solution for this problem so we can get the gray floors we want?

A: @sabah alsabah can you please post a photo of your floors? Thinking to do this combo. Thanks so much!!

**Q: Red Oak Floor Stain** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello - seeking all advice on what to do with our floors.
We ordered white oak number 2 to be finished on site with a satin finish (same as our old house). Builder installed red oak common 1 on accident. We don't want to rip up perfectly great floors, but hate the color.
We have the option to sand and stain or sand and finish with a water based finish. All of these will never be white oak, and we understand that, but we need to eliminate the red + gold tones somehow.
Any advice?

The floors we wanted & ordered: white oak, common 2, satin finish on site.
