> Unfortunately we have not had a positive experience with this company and its contractor.  Overall there has been poor communication and a failure to live up to what we were told to expect as customers.  It started with the site visit when my wife waited all day for the contractor to show and never did.  She had to reschedule work to come back the next day, and he still arrived at the wrong time.  Poor communication continued when the start date for the project came and went with no one showing up, and no one communicating the delay.  Finally, nine days later, a crew arrived and dug the hole for our pool. They placed a sump pump well directly in the middle of the yard, without consulting us, and without consideration for our overall project.  Additionally, they dug the hole for the pool 8 feet too big, and when I called about the error I was made to feel that I was wrong.  It turns out I was not.  The hole was left for almost two weeks with no work being done and no contact from the contractor.  We were also told after the fact that we had to find a contractor to install a retaining wall around the pool.   It turns out this was wrong as well, that the contractor had incorrect information, and we were forced to get proper instructions in writing from the Doughboy pool vendor to insure that the method of installation would not void our warranty. Finally someone showed up this week to begin constructing the pool.  They did two days of work and have now failed to show once again.  We were told our pool would be up by this weekend, but I am doubtful based on progress so far.  Monday will be four weeks beyond the intended start date.  Unfortunately for us, Pool tech had failed to live up to the positive reviews it received on this site.  Since I already have paid a deposit and have a hole in the yard I am forced to continue to wait this situation out, with the hope that the final project outcome is better than the work and service we have received to date.

We are having our pool built and would like to have a deck jet line this one. Can you please provide details of the deck jet? Manufacturer Name, length and \# of outputs.

A: Hello, this water feature was custom project designed by our Architect and individually manufactured by a local shop. It's wonderful!

**Q: 18000 gallon vinal lined pool** *(in Photo Questions)*

1\. Can this be upgraded to concrete or some other permanent material...or do you recommend removing  and replacing. 2. are there any effective passive or solar pool heating solutions out there?

A: To upgrade a vinyl liner pool to a custom concrete pool it is necessary to remove the existing pool and replace it. If the shape of the pool is what you desire, the same excavated hole can be used. 
An autocover is a good way to retain heat in the pool. Autocovers are good for safety and for keeping the pool clean. A solar blanket, a bubble cover, and thermal blankets are used to retain heat, however, they are a bit cumbersome. Solar panels can be used. 
It's best to consult a professional for your specific needs!

A: Greg Sundberg, our architect, worked with us, the homeowner, and Powers Concrete to design this clever and award-winning pool.

**Q: What is the size of this pool?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: 40 x 20, with a depth of 4-5 feet. This is a sport pool—the deep "end" is in the middle.

**Q: Position of Lights Underneath the Jacuzzi Coping** *(in Photo Questions)*

I notice that the coping of the jacuzzi sticks out farther than the coping for most pools.  I am guessing that this is to allow for the lights that shine a scalloped pattern on the jacuzzi walls at night.  What kind of lights did this project use underneath the coping and how were they installed?  The jacuzzi coping seems to cantilever out from the jacuzzi walls by about six inches.  Is that correct?

A: Well better late than never—yes, the extra coping allows for the LED lights to Illuminate and change colors.
