I recently had water damage to my home that is less then 15 years old come to find out house was not wrapped before sided, no window tape around windows, no drip edge by gutter, no flashing…..every corner was cut to save him money. This was a spec home so I did not get to see the house being built but would have thought it would be done correct. Now I’m having to fix all of this crap work as wood is rotted and moldy around windows under the siding. A sump pump was placed in the plenum of our furnace. We were told to pump the water out every hour until the root cause could be found. Unfortunately, that is where the situation is still at. We still have a sump pump in our furnace, and we have been told it's our responsibility to have the problem fixed. So, our entire foundation is submerged in water and they are unwilling to help in any way even though they're supposed to warrant the craftsmanship for one year and the foundation for 10 years.
