Our renovation included removal of a sunshine ceiling in our kitchen ares and replacing with pot lights and pendants above our island.  As the ceiling is vaulted and extends into the living room and dining area, we had the stipple replaced with painted pine boards.  All baseboards, window trim, and interior doors were replaced and a complete paint job done including the ceiling.  The existing hardwood was sanded and refinished.  The space was kept very clean at the end of each day.  The project was on time and on budget.  The result was beyond beautiful!  We cannot say enough good about Pillar & Putz Construction, the definition of excellence!

> During the summer Piller & Putz tore down my two tier old deck and created a new deck plus patio area.  Then while they were just starting to lay down the brick patio I asked if they could also remove the old interlocking brick walkway and put in a new one adjacent to the new patio.  Then they also ended up making a new gate for the back yard. They were very accommodating and even though my requests were last minute they managed to fit them in the schedule.  The quote that was given was the price that was paid and any expenses that were not included in the quote (due to changes that I requested)  were explained and approved a head of time.  Luke had some great suggestions when we were making the initial plans and I am very happy that I listened to him because the finished product looks amazing.
> I then hired them to do my basement renovation.  Once again Luke provided a lot of great ideas and once again the price that I paid was the price that I was quoted.  Luke provides a detailed quote and for items like electrical, he just states that this has not been included in the quote because the electrician provides that.  The work was done in a timely manner and all the finishes look amazing.  Every detail is completed to perfection.

> We have had them do two projects for us & they have done amazing work.  We had them (P&P) redo our roof on our 35 yr old-home as we were having condensation issues. Hated to part with our cedar shakes, and wanting more than regular shingles , P & P  were able to access the newer Malarky Windsor shingles which were a great replacement for our ranch home. The appraisal was accurate and they came on time. Project lasted  5 days  & site was left immaculate. Second project entailed replacing flooring at our lake property. Replaced Lino/ carpet with engineered hardwood in spring. Aided in selection of new material plus colour to match all various other woods & did not disappoint. The finished look & workmanship far surpassed our expectations. Worked long days to have it done over a weekend.

A: Thanks, it is 12' x 8' for the footprint of the actual building.

**Q: Siding treatment?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Was this cedar treated with any waterproofing, stain, etc?

A: In this photo there is no treatment - left it that way for about a year then applied Messmers UV Plus.

The closest finish to natural cedar is a water based clear however it makes recoating more challenging than the oil.

A: Thank you - this is MoistureShield decking in Walnut.  Unsure if it is still available this was built about 5 years ago.
