A: The coiled wire fabric does a good job of keep the majority of the water in the shower. Due to a variety of factors such as weave size and fullness, placement of shower head, type of shower head, length of shower etc. your results may vary. Depending on the type of shower enclosure you have, you might consider using a liner. For tub/shower applications, a liner would provide additional protection from shower spray. In curbless, wet room type applications, you probably won't need one. Let us know if you need any additional information. Our mesh does a great job of providing shade when the sun is off angle. When the sun is directly in line with the mesh it will filter the sun but not block it entirely depending on the amount of fullness.
